Sunset Landing with ocean view & hot tub

This beautiful modern home sits on one acre of land, facing the Pacific Ocean and has beautiful water and sunset views. The main floor has a high open beam ceiling, dining and living room, white oak wood floor, big gourmet kitchen with granite counter tops and commerical gas cook top and double oven, half bath, open floor plan, large deck with ocean and sunset views and big table and new BBQ.
The master bedroom has a new king bed and an electric fireplace, the second bedroom has one queen and one single bed and there is a double bed in TV room.
There is a separate outdoor spa area with privacy, ocean and sunset view, large hot tub and enclosed outdoor shower with on demand hot water.

The house is in a quiet location where you can hear the waves and the sea lions. There is great walking and hiking in Big Sur and directly from the house; shopping and dining in Carmel,only 10 minutes away. Whale watching along the coast or take tour from Monterey Harbor.
The world famous Monterey Aquarium is 20 minutes, Monterey airport 15 minutes, San Jose airport 1 1/2 hours and San Francisco 2 hours.
Hearst Castle is 2 hours south; Highlands Inn Hotel with oceanview restaurant is 2 minutes away.

Great location, ideal for a romantic getaway, fun to share with another couple or for a small family, or small family gathering or for local events.

Private spot with amazing view

I stayed here with my sister and her wife for a long weekend. It felt like a private oasis in the woods but was close to Carmel by the Sea and everything we were wanting to see in the Big Sur area. Amazing views of the ocean. Very clean. There are some nuances to be aware of if you want to cook (having to light the pilot, lighters are provided), and use the hot tub (the jets may come on to circulate the water if it drops below the pre-set temp). You have to drive up a pretty steep hill, I'd recommend trying to do it in daylight the first time to get the hang of it.

Great home base

We really enjoyed our stay. The property was as advertised and more! It was out of the way and very quiet, but within minutes of town. The kitchen was stocked exceptionally well, with everything you’d need to cook a gourmet meal! Karin was a very gracious host!

Great private location that's close to everything!

Everything was great! The view is amazing! The Kitchen and all amenities are very thoughtful. Everything we needed was right where it was expected. The hot tub is private and secluded. Hope to stay again some day!

Absolutely Fabulous!

We had a wonderful stay here! The house is on a large, lush and quiet property up on a hill and has a great view of the ocean. We saw some of the most beautiful sunsets from the large deck. The house is darling and is so clean, comfortable, and well appointed. The beds are really comfortable with nice bedding and pillows. Close to hiking locations and to the shopping and restaurants at Carmel-by-the-Sea. Check in was simple and the host was very accessible for any questions we had. We will absolutely be returning! Highly recommend!

Amazing

I spent 3 nights with my mom and daughter. The house is beautiful, perfectly comfortable, and lots of little touches to help you enjoy it thoroughly: flip flops of all sizes provided to get to the spa area, tons of towels, robes, binoculars and Audubon guide, and more. I also appreciated the beautiful container plants all around the property. Well done!

Incredible weekend in spacious beautiful place

Karin’s place is beautiful. The kitchen is well stocked and the views from the house and hot tub were stunning. The beds were really comfortable. Communication was great. Be mindful that smaller cars may struggle to drive up the steep road to the house but otherwise great!

View of the ocean was even better than advertised!Very clean well appointed home in a lovely quiet neighborhood. Karin’s comfortable and cozy home had everything we needed for our stay. Easy communication with the host. Check in was a breeze. The hot tub with ocean view was a bonus! I would definitely recommend this property.

Pictures were great actual location and stay were better

The property itself is incredible. Too many great things to list them all but I’ll start with a couple. #1 Outdoor warm shower right next to the private fenced in spa that has lounge chairs and a great view. #2 The deck on the main house has views And sunsets to die for. #3 A great kitchen with very upscale of appliances and every cooking utensil you can think of to prepare gourmet meals. #4 Very close to downtown Carmel, but far enough out where you feel very secluded. #5 The host was incredible. Gave us tips on hiking restaurants, and anything that we needed. I could go on and on, but all I will say is it’s one of the best VRBO we’ve ever stayed in and we stay in a lot.

Wonderful vacation

This place was amazing!! Beautiful spot, close to town, and the house had everything you could imagine. We spent a week here. Peaceful, quiet and some amazing sunsets with gorgeous views. Would highly recommend to everyone who wants a awesome getaway!!
