"We were in the oldest part of the hotel and it was kind of magical! No elevator but a winding staircase up what must have been a tower, with the room opening directly off the staircase. It was like being a princess in a tower. The room was clean and spacious. The staff brought the bags to our rooms and were very helpful with dinner suggestions. We were only there one night, but if (when!) we are back I will wear a beautiful cocktail dress and sit in the gorgeous lounge with a glass of champagne....

"Very welcome reception, Frederick was helpful and informative about all aspects of the hotel and the neighbourhood. The hotel is very basic though there is a kettle and coffee and tea in the bedroom. I would highly recommend adding a bar and a bathmat in the shower as the tub is very slippery and certainly for older or less agile folks it felt dangerous getting in and out and I slipped and banged my knee rather badly. Also to be noted is the shower itself which, while I applaud the conservation...

"The hotel is very quiet, nicely appointed rooms - though I felt that my bathroom needed updating. It felt dated and the toilet seat had marks on it which, though they were scratches, made it look unsightly. The TV main menu shows functions for casting from a device, yet it doesn't work. Breakfast is very overpriced for what it is, walking to a cafe nearby and getting croissants/coffee and juice was much more reasonable. The staff were very professional, attentive and polite. I would stay here...
