"Molokai is pretty laid back and not highly developed from a tourist standpoint, which is what we were looking for. The condo, which in its pictures looked a bit dated, definitely was when we got there. So no surprise. But we were disappointed a bit by what we encountered. Several missing or not working light bulbs. A ceiling fan in the bedroom that was either on or off, the chain control for how fast is turned wasn't working. Closet and bath doors that were delaminating. The view is...

"This unit was a Disaster when we entered; the floor was dirty, dirty towels were on the floor the beds were not made up.We quickly reported this and the local caretakers quickly attended to the situation. "We love Molokai Shores, and were so happy to stay again for the first time since 2019. This unit was great, but looked like it had been sitting since being cleaned so there was a layer of dirt in the loft bedroom area and in the closets. The main bedroom, kitchen and showers were clean as were the sheets. We will still return, just wanted to be honest about our stay. "

By Day 3 we realized there was mold growing on the living room and bedroom curtains and brought it to the attention of the owner who said he was unaware of the situation and neither the person immediately before us nor the cleaning person made mention of it which is hard to believe since the smell was overwhelming.
