We had such an incredible time! I can’t say enough great things about this property! AMAZING view, Golf cart was so fun, villa was In beautiful condition! We will definitely be back! Highly recommend!

Nice property and great view!

This condo is a good size for a family of four and our 7lb toy poodle. All information to access the condo was sent to us via email before our arrival and we had no problem checking in. It is exactly as pictured in the listing. It has everything we needed for our 5-day stay in Destin. The kitchen was well-equipped with a few minor things that would make our stay perfect. A small bottle of dish soap was provided, but we couldn't use the dishwasher since no dishwasher soap was provided. A couple of dishwasher tablets would have been nice, but not a biggie. Also, extra trash bags for the kitchen trash can would have been nice. We stayed 5 days and only had 1 trash bag in the kitchen. We appreciate the convenience of having a full-sized washer and dryer for use to wash our beach towels and beach clothing. The sofas in the living room were older and had some stains and pet hairs on them. They needed to be vacuumed and freshen up. Overall, the place was nicely clean. We also enjoyed the convenience of having a golf cart to go to the beach, nearby shops, and to just go around the property. Overall, we were happy with our stay at this property; it's quiet and safe.

Overall fantastic stay!!

We are experienced Sandestin veterans, having stayed at many properties. We LOVED this place, right on the calming water pond and pet-friendly. The golf cart is in excellent shape and frankly, the best way to get around on the property. The condition of the unit was great as was the location - only 3 min golf cart ride to the beach and even closer to the retail shopping ctr next to the front entrance. We hope to return next year!

Very Nice

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful condo. We encountered some issues with the AC when we first arrived, but Platinum Agency was very responsive, and we were able to get a technician over right away. The unit was clean. The golf cart was so convenient. We really enjoyed our overall stay and would love to return at a later date.

This property is a great location. But the condo needs some cleaning. I brought cleaning supplies just in case . AND THE FURNITURE IS 😖 DISGUSTING AWFUL CONDITION STAINED AND VERY WORN . WE PUT A TOWEL TO SIT ON CHAIRS IN LIVING ROOM AND GOT A SHEET TO PUT ON THE NASTY SOFA.!LIGHTS above microwave out. Light above shower in master bedroom out. All of the upstairs furniture is well worn also. Kithchen is in need of a cleaning of the stove. . stove . Please give more accurate photos!

Good location but...

We owned a house in Sandestin for years and finally sold it about 10 years ago, so it goes without saying that we love coming to this resort - and know what it takes to upkeep a property for renters. This trip had been planned with other family members who have stayed at the Beachwalk properties before and found them to be “really amazing”. As it turned out though, it was truly a swing and a miss. This property is old and needs a lot of TLC. We usually love to cook big family style meals, and it was damn near impossible to even cook an egg. The kitchen was in disarray - no logic to where things might be, as well as, a complete hodgepodge of dishes and cutlery. Maybe 2 matching plates, if you were lucky. THEN, once a meal was made, the dishwasher didn’t even work! We had to do all of our dishes by hand daily! Here is a pro: they have a nice sink. After a day at the beach, first thing I like to do is take a shower. The master bath has been redone and was nice. However, to make things quicker, I used the other guest bathroom. The shower door was so hard to open, I almost gave up. There was no update to the bathroom with granite or anything. Old Formica stuff. While on the topic of bedrooms: the master bed was ABSOLUTELY AWFUL! Anytime my husband tossed or turned, the entire bed was like a trampoline. I literally bounced around. I don’t think either of us slept thru the night for our entire stay. Also, the master is missing a drapery panel and had a bunch of garbage underneath the bed. Finally, my husband used the armoire in the master to store his tees and underwear. He had to rewatch the entire lot because the drawer had a sour odor. The other rooms and decor are old and like rummage sale finds. That is a personal taste and don’t hold that against them, but the upholstery was stained and clearly dirty. Last thing...bring lightbulbs - the place is so dim.

Had a good visit . The place was very nice . Really needs a new mattress on the pull out sofa but other than that we had a good visit. VRBO representatives also very helpful when I had to call on our stay !

Great location. Golf cart makes it so easy to get around the property.

Great place for a family of four. Plenty of space for everything. Great layout. Having coffee on the deck looking over the pond. Then fishing in the evening was so much fun.

Good location, comfortable house

We stayed one week during spring break. Location is excellent: quiet neighborhood, beautiful beach, lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. The house is comfortable for a small family, but lacks maintenance and needs some improvement. Furniture, specially sofas, are very worn out. Kitchen utensils looked like something you buy at a thrift store. Some laminate flooring planks were stored under the bed on the main room, so lots of dust accumulated there. Bedrooms’ windows didn’t close properly and we could feel the wind at night. There is a storage room outside the house with a lot of old beach stuff, some still good to use - it looked a mess when we got there and my husband was nice in organizing everything. For the price the house should be in better condition.

5197 Beachwalk

When we first got to the property the supporting brace under master bed was broken. This was fixed immediately when I told the property managers. Unfortunately the bed was still so uncomfortable, neither my husband or I slept well. Some nights my husband would sleep down on the couch. He said the beds in the other bedroom weren’t comfortable either. I loved the location and the area. We probably won’t do another vacation rental.

Family Fall Vacation

We enjoyed a relaxing vacation. The condo was clean, and neighbors were very pleasant. Golf cart was great to have on hand. However, a back brake light is out, turn signal bulbs are out as well. Other than that we had a wonderful time. Respectfully, Briscoe Family

Where do I start?

The cleanliness of this unit leaves a lot to be desired. No way that COVID cleaning standards are being met! The furniture is filthy and stained. I kept blankets on the furniture to sit on because it looked so disgusting. The whole unit has an odor, especially the closet in the living room.The master bed has construction materials underneath it and the slats of the bed were not in proper place when we went to bed. Also, there were some of the largest dust-bunnies under that bed that I have ever seen! The a/c went out twice while we were there. Seems like it needed servicing and cleaning before our stay. The dripping from the a/c in the hallway was not new — the floor is buckled and ceiling shadowed around the smoke detector from prior water dripping. Clearly not the first time this happened. Management got service people there promptly and it got fixed. At least for our stay. The patio is warped and easy to trip on. The kitchen is not well-stocked. Really needs a keurig. The top of the golf cart is not connected and it runs rough. Going over bumps is loud with the top banging. Love the location near the beach and love the resort. Grateful that it is pet friendly. Appreciated the yard and grass to walk to dogs.

Great Location

Everything was good except blender didn’t work well and the grill didn’t work. It was rusted out. We had planned a dinner around the grill and with it not working, we weren’t too pleased. Overall though, nice stay.

Great place to get away from it all!

Great place for a getaway to the beach and fairly reasonable given the location and that we went during the summer season. The one thing I wasn't thrilled about was that the beach access was shared by more than one property as it made for a lot of crowding and not much way to socially distance when we visited the beach itself. That's easily remedied by using a public beach access in a less crowded location (which I know not all are willing to do). Overall, it was a wonderful vacation!

Too soon to finalize rating ... but 4 star for now ..

Awaiting follow up from Platinum Vacations on a couple of things. But the community is wonderful (we always stay here). The lakes are also fantastic for fishing! Great view of the lake from this Villa. Overall good stay and easy to check in and out ... management team has been responsive thus far but as I said previously , awaiting a reply as we speak on some unresolved issues. I’d come back assuming the issues are addressed properly.

Family beach trip

Overall we enjoyed our stay. Unit was large and comfortable for family of five. Enjoyed amenities of area. Furniture was nice both upstairs and downstairs. A little disappointed in carpet on stairs and bedroom. Carpet is old and stained on stairs and in bedrooms upstairs. There is a big hole , about five inches in diameter of carpet in master that has been cut out down to the padding / sub flooring underneath. The main complaint was the inaccuracy of outdoor pictures. The decking was rotten and there were places if you stepped your foot could go through. A board had been nailed over to cover some holes already made. Bushes were overgrown and blocked view of lake, where pictures showed no bushes. Furniture had tears and holes and some wrought iron chairs were rusted with holes in the seat. If these areas could be addressed property would be given five stars.
