  • Tucked among a cluster of old storybook cabins, our little place in the woods offers a simple, back-to-basics kind of stay. No frills, no fuss just the essentials and a quiet invitation to slow down.

    This area of Northern Michigan has a character all its own. You’ll find tall pines, friendly waves from neighbors, and a refreshing sense that folks here live by their own rhythm.

    The cabin is modest with a screened in patio made for sitting with a strong cup of coffee or something stronger. Nature is ever-present: birds, wind in the trees, and the occasional ATV. Just down the road, the Au Sable River offers world-class fishing, peaceful floats, and trails for hiking and biking. Nearby towns offer a glimpse into a culture that’s equal parts practical, proud, and unhurried.

Showed up to the property and there was no power or water, reached out to property manager, left a message, eventually got ahold of them via chat. Couldn't gamble on power or water coming back online. Left immediately.I spent about 6 hours online and via phone trying to get a full refund. Will never use Expedia or VRBO again. I am pretty sure their business model is to bend you over and hope you give up on a full refund.

Super cute! Loved the tiny cabin feel, the leaves and property were so cute. Had to sweep all of the left over dog hair up from previous guests, but we love dogs, so it wasn’t a bother. Can’t wait to stay agin :)

grandmother who has a hard time walking

my family loved it and my grandmother said the bed was so comfy and my mom and aunt said they whish they we not so busy so they could sat out side more and we will daffily stay again if ever needed

This cabin was so adorable! We only stayed for a night as a pit stop to our next destination but it was pet friendly and super comfortable. I loved the cute lighting all over it made it like a childhood dream fort. Playing cards in the screened in porch was a blast too! The hosts and the place was just great would go back again!

Convenient location. Nice shower and kitchen area. Extra detached screened porch and fire pit area. Private and quiet. Felt safe. Good parking area.
