Welcoming host, perfect location and an ideal set up for a family. The new Ritz renovation is fantastic with a beautiful lobby, lovely outdoor restaurants and great shops.

Family Vacation

Great property at the Ritz Key Biscayne. Check-in process was easy. Host was great answering any questions. My family of five comfortably slept in the two story property. Rental came with full access to the hotel’s amenities including pools, beach and hotel car to get around.

Missing items

The property was nice, and is at a nice spot for kids due to the pool and beach, but I have stayed at other places in the ritz that are better. The trash cans were so small, only had 2 garbage bags, only one knife which was a bread knife to cut and cook with, no toaster, nothing to do dishes with and had to purchase our own pods, it was hard to navigate with family and kids, due to the living room being 2 beds. There wasn’t really anywhere for anyone to sit.

Great vacation for multigenerational family

James was very responsive and accommodating. He had 2 cribs set up for our 19 month old twins who stayed comfortably in the upstairs bedroom with my husband and me. Grandma and our almost 4-year old son enjoyed the downstairs queen beds. The restaurants were all fantastic on site and we loved how easy it was to bounce between the family pool, splash pad, and beach with 3 young kids. Two small pieces of feedback - there was not a door to the downstairs area, which made nap time a little challenging and there also was not a toaster, which would have been helpful.

Inaccurate listing, filth, and mold

I was incredibly disappointed in this property. First area of disappointment was that the listing was inaccurate. I specifically rented this property b/c it listed it as having 5 beds (1 king, 2 queens, and 2 twin beds). Had I known that the two "twin" beds were simply roll in cots that were stored on the closet, I wouldn't have considered the property. If you don't need 5 beds, this shouldn't be a problem. My second issue was how dirty the floors were. There was dust throughout. Hair had made its way in to the corners, and food items such as m&ms and pretzels were found throughout. The sheets on the beds had holes in them (which maybe isn't that big of a deal), but also stains. Red stains, brown stains. And this was on several different sheets. Quite gross. The final issue was the most concerning, and that is that there was mold on the ceiling and the walls of one of the closets. There were several areas where the ceiling and walls were stained from either water leaking or condensation, but the bigger issue was the large area of black mold present. I attempted to share my concerns with the owner before I posted this review, saying that I think the property was not clean and ready for guests and that I believe it is overpriced to be listing it as a "penthouse" with 5 beds. But unfortunately he was not receptive to my concerns and said I was being untruthful (even though I sent pictures of my concerns). I would not recommend this property at all.

Another great stay

I have lost count of how many times we have stayed in this property (I am a former local and we appreciate the quieter, family friendly area) and this is my very favorite unit of them all. The layout is perfect for our family of 4 and I feel like the views have more to look at than the straight ocean views. Host answered questions right away. Would love to stay again.

Lovely Apartment in Ritz

The views from this Penthouse Apartment at the Ritz are stunning. You have a 270 degree view of the ocean & Miami. We had a lovely stay and had access to the Ritz amenities including the pools, restaurants & the beach.

very good stay

The staff is extremely friendly, one big advantage is the parking spot in covered garage, included in your stay so a lot of money saved on valet parking and tips. Hotel offers courtesy rides to nearby restaurants and other places, great pool and beach. Hotel is going very soon through a complete remodeling well needed. Room is very nice and in good shape. I will like also to thank our host, James who responded on time to all my emails and was very professional and friendly

Lovely unit for family at a beautiful resort

We loved our stay in Key Biscayne. The resort was beautiful with amazing amenities. The unit had a fantastic view with plenty of room for our family and convenient parking. James was kind to offer early check in; there was a glitch in communication with the front desk staff to this end so we spent time at the pool before heading to the apartment for the usual check in time. The washer/dryer as a combined single machine was a different concept for us, but we figured it out and were happy to do some wash during our stay. There were just a few negatives: the cleaning crew was not very thorough. Food stains and smears were in the kitchen and dining area. Only 1 sink had soap to wash hands. The coffee maker was dirty and not functional. Despite these, I would stay again in a heart beat!

Gorgeous property, lovely apt.

My husband and myself and our 3 boys ( plus our dog and cat) had a wonderful weekend getaway here. Sipping coffee on the balcony with a view of the island and Miami off in the distance. The apt is beautiful with lots of room for everyone. We made use of the full kitchen. You feel like valued guests of the Ritz-Carlton, never made to feel like we were " the people renting a VRBO." The amenities are great, chairs by the pool or the beach with umbrellas. Theres only one way on and off Key Biscayne so its quite secluded and safe. Walking around on the streets you feel like you're in a quiet little village. We enjoyed attending Chabad of Key Biscayne. James the host was always readily available for questions.

Amazing Ritz stay!

This was a wonderful trip for all! The property is amazing - we enjoyed all the amenities at the Ritz! The dining area was perfect for our meals (we splurged on room service) and the views are stunning! Lots of space too! We didn’t want to leave.

Vacation

Nice penthouse inside the Ritz Carlton. The room had a wonderful view and plenty of space. It is in need of some tlc / routine maintenance like caulk, cracked paint etc but comfortable and clean. Would stay there again.

Location, location, location

Please is awesome. Enough space for 4 adults. Parking under the Ritz is invaluable for a busy family. We've stayed at the Ritz before and it's awesome. The one area for improvement would be the cleanliness of the room. If you stay in a Ritz controlled room it will be spotless. Since this is a owner's unit, it doesn't feel as clean as you'd get with a real hotel room at a place like the Ritz. We lived with it and it wouldn't probably stop us from renting again. If you want to stay on Key Biscayne with 4 adults and be near the beach - we haven't found a better option.

Great property and great dealing with owner

I stayed there with a bunch of girlfriends and the property was very nicely furnished and laid out, perfect for 4 friends. Our host always answered my emails immediately and resolved our small mixups right away.
