I had a very unsettling experience at this property. Upon arrival, there were no clear parking instructions. Since there was a garage, I avoided parking in front of it, not knowing if it was in use. In the middle of the night, someone began loudly banging on the door, which was extremely frightening. The next day I found out it was only to tell me to move my car.Access to the property was also unclear. Entry was actually through side gates, which was not properly explained. I tried contacting the host multiple times with no response and had to go through VRBO to reach her.What concerned me most was safety. The door did not have a secure interior lock—meaning someone with access from outside could potentially enter. After hearing someone outside and not knowing who it was, I did not feel safe staying there. I ended up leaving and booking another place.I would strongly recommend clearer instructions, better communication, and improved security for future guests.
