Modern and Stately Upper 2-bed in Historic Midtown

  • This 1915 apartment building has tons of historic charm but with contemporary amenities and updates. The shared balcony is perfect for morning coffee. The unit itself is peaceful and spacious, with classic furnishings, unique artwork, and original hardwood floors. Enter into your tranquil living room and unwind on the mid century style sofa, or whip up something tasty in the brand new modern eat-in kitchen. The dramatic bathroom has just been renovated with new marble tile surround, high end vanity, and new flooring. The main bedroom is bright and airy and features a super comfy memory foam mattress and a desk should you need a quiet space to work. The guest room is off the living room and is small and cozy.

    Guest access:
    The entire apartment is yours. The only shared spaces on the property are the balcony, laundry room in basement, and parking lot.

    Other things to note:
    The guest room is on the small side and does not have a closet. The closet in the main bedroom is a large walk in though!

    Location: Located in the Evergreen Historic District in Midtown Memphis! Midtown is a wonderful central location, convenient to Downtown, Beale St, all the cool restaurants, bars and shops in Midtown, Overton Park, Overton Square, East Memphis, Graceland, Shelby Farms Park, and about 15 minutes from the airport.

This is the third time I've stayed at this property and it's always very clean and very quiet. The location is also excellent -- it's close to everything Midtown has to offer and within walking distance of some great venues.

Never coming back here again!! it’s was gnats everywhere couldn’t even use the restroom without them flying in my face.it was roaches coming out when i was cooking.The pillows and pillow cases in both rooms was dirty as ever.The floors wasn’t clean at all they were sticky.The table was so wobbly i couldn’t even sit anything on it at all.

Quick trip

We packed a lot into a little time so this location was great! Close and easy drive to everywhere we needed to go from watching the Grizzlies, eating BBQ, Beale street and the zoo it was a great trip. The apartment was cute and clean we will be back!

Cleanest place we have stayed in Memphis. Beautiful, quiet, and easy walking in the neighborhood. Restaurants, stores and bakery in minutes of the house

Check-in was very easy with codes available via message from the host. The kitchen is huge and well-equipped and even though the AC was all room AC, it did a great job of keeping things cool. I'd definitely recommend this property to anyone staying in Midtown Memphis!

Perfect Staycation...

Short Uber rides to Beale Street. Private off-street parking for our rental car. Perfect pad for a few nights in Memphis. Thank you...thank you very much.

Great stay

The overall Memphis area, for the most part, is a little under par… So while the house that we stayed in is very nice, very clean and basically just a great place to stay… The surrounding area is a little questionable. But I would not take that away from where we stayed. It was very comfortable and just a great experience.

The property was not that clean. Specifically, the bathroom needed a good clean and a new shower curtain, liner, and a freshly cleaned bath rug. The living room had popcorn under the TV stand. The front shared balcony is not clean at all. Overall, the property is located in Midtown with many restaurants; the host was timely and professional; and the one parking spot in the back is okay, with plenty of parking on the road. I would suggest going with another midtown property. The price point was nice, but in hindsight, I would have stayed at another property or at a hotel because of the lack of cleanliness.

Cozy & Comfortable

We stayed in this VRBO for 10 days assisting my daughter with her move in Memphis. The accommodations were spot on & had everything we needed to enjoy our stay and feel comfortable. The place was spacious and comfortable. The kitchen & bathrooms were well stocked with everything you could possibley need. I liked that the apartment was on the second floor & there were 2 separate locks to gain access to the apartment. Sadly, I was crazy busy and did not have time to enjoy Memphis & the surrounding area. The Kroger around the corner (super close) was very nice & Overton Park (very close) seemed lovely so the location is great! Easy access to almost everything you could want to do. Only thing I did notice, and this is just my personal preference, I enjoy a soft bed, this bed was on the firm side. I did sleep well & the AC units worked just fine keeping the place cool. Thank you for allowing me to stay!

No electricity

The host was very responsive but there was a problem with the electricity in her unit that was out of her control. We did not have heat, air, refrigerator, microwave, coffee, tv. We only had light in main bedroom and bathroom. Our sleep was disrupted by a weird loud clicking noise coming from the outlets the first night. The 2nd night disrupted by the utility company trying to fix, they did not. Sometimes the lights in unit would flash on and off for several minutes. I was very concerned about an electric fire.
