Maple View Medlow Bath (Blue Mountains)

Maple View is situated in the small historic town of Medlow Bath, just 10 minutes north of Katoomba in the Blue Mountains and only 90 minutes drive or 120 minutes by train from Sydney. Accessible by car and the nearby Medlow Bath train station, the home is within walking distance of the famous Hydro Majestic Hotel and Synonymous Cafe. It's 15 minutes drive to Leura and less than 10 minutes drive to Blackheath both of which are only a train stop away. Despite it's proximity to these historic townships and landmarks it remains a secluded sanctuary.

The architect designed home is set on a private, one acre, garden block showcasing stunning mature gardens, native bush land and fabulous vista's. Self-contained, with plenty of pampering comforts, the house offers an open plan lounge and dining area with wood fire place as well as a fully equiped, enterainer's kitchen. Upstairs you'll find three bedrooms (King, Queen and two singles) as well as a second bathroom.

Maple View is perfect for couples, families and nature lovers. The grounds feature stone pathways lined with dry stone walls, terraced garden beds, established cold climate plants and a large sweeping back lawn that is overlooked by every room in the house. The beautiful gardens are filled with many Camellias, Rhododendrons and Azaleas providing stunning bloom in Autumn and Spring. The deciduous Japanese Maples provide a striking display of autumnal colour as the cooler weather arrives.

There is an abundance of native birds attracted to the gardens. Keep an eye out for Parrots, Rosellas, Lorikeets, Kookaburras and Cockatoos as well as the occasional Wallaby and Kangaroo. Close to bushwalks and national parks - a fabulous mountain getaway awaits!

This property and location are superb. It is a two storey house set on a huge block with mature trees and a steep terraced garden out the front with a large, gently sloping expanse of lawn out the back. The three bedrooms and a bathroom are located upstairs and a cosy lounge with both a fireplace and gas heater, and dining and kitchen area are downstairs, along with a second bathroom and laundry which was easy to use.The property has all of the amenities you could possibly want as the host has clearly put time into considering their guests' every need, including fans and heaters in every room, heated bathroom floors and towel rails, and automatic bathroom lights.It features the most stunning, lovingly landscaped garden with tasteful statues and bird feeders to discover as you wander through the grounds. This place invites time outdoors, although time spent inside is like being in a beautiful treehouse. A deck area with table and chairs sits under the shade of trees and you will meet the friendly cockatoos and kookaburras as you enjoy your tea while soaking in the peaceful atmosphere. This calm and quiet location is a welcome haven away from the hustle of nearby townships. The host was communicative and kind and if I could give this home more stars, I would. It's ideal for a quiet family or couple's retreat and it is so beautiful that your heart will ache when you leave it. I cannot rate it highly enough and no photo could do it justice. See it for yourself!

Fabulous property with lots of lush touches including underfloor heating in the bathrooms. Wonderful kitchen, fully stocked, great fireplace and very comfy beds. A serene space to rest and unwind. Garden is stunning and the stag sculpture a treat. We hope to return one day.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Beds were super comfortable, well equipped kitchen, generous comfortable lounges perfect for sitting by the fire having a good catch up with a nice red and loved the luxe extras like heated towel rails, heated floors in the bathrooms. Gardens amazing. One of the best homes I have ever stayed in. Host also very kind and offered a late checkout which made our stay even more memorable. Can’t wait to return. Thanks Matt.

Perfect winter getaway

Maple View completely lived up to all the good reviews. It was cozy, impeccably clean, stylish and comfortable. It was the perfect place to relax in front of a fire on a cold Blue Mountains day. Extra points for heated bathroom floors, electric blankets and good quality kitchenware. Matt was also the perfect host - helpful and friendly. We would absolutely stay there again.

Wonderful home with amazing gardens and outlook!

Maple View is a wonderful place to stay! Upon entry to the property you are welcomed by extensive and amazing gardens full of flowers, huge pines, and of course, gorgeous maple trees. The house is warm, beautifully decorated, clean, well equiped and incredibly comfortable. It has everything you need and more. The views and outlook over the property are simply breathtaking. The host was so easy to communicate with and very helpful in providing a book full of tips and advice on the surrounding area. Such a relaxing place to unwind and spend time with the family. We will be returning!

Although Matt is away, he has a property manger who attends to us promptly. He also provides a bottle of wine, chocolate and cookies which is a pleasant surprise to us. The property is as described and perfect for only 6 people. Love the fully functional kitchen

Lovely mountain retreat

Our family getaway was a big success given the location, size and privacy of the property. The front and back gardens are a true delight with the many plants, flowers and birds. The kitchen has everything you need to cook up a storm. We tried new walking trails in Blackheath which is only 10 mins away. Highly recommend this property!
