"This cottage was right on the main road in Colonial Beach. It was very clean and comfortable and tastefully decorated. The kitchen was fully equipped for cooking. The outdoor area was relaxing and had a fire pit and grill. The location was close to everything in town. You could walk to the beach and many stores and restaurants. "The house is a perfect retreat! I watched the sunrise from my bedroom and porch with my coffee each day of our stay. My parents live just 2 doors down. "We actually came by boat and had a great time. The waterfront restaurants were great, the museum was awesome and we didn't realize they had aquariums with a lot of the bay fish which made it even better. There are a lot of steps to get to the dock but that just helped us burn off all the great food we ate. The house was well equipped with any kitchen items ect.. but we didn't use them. We did use the kayaks to go around the creek one morning and saw turtles, birds, a water snake, and plenty of...

"The house was incredible. My husband loved the master shower! The kids enjoyed the beach and swimming. Our youngest son (39) paddled the creek in the kayak. Our oldest son was able to dock his boat. The house had so many amenities. The kitchen was well stocked. There were games and books for all ages. We hope this home is available whenever we go back to visit family. "This property was lovely and very well stocked with all of the necessities! The bedrooms were nice with comfy beds the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking including for the crab boil! Catching the crabs and fishing off the dock was a big hit with the boys! The paddle boat and kayaks were fun and enjoyable! We will look them up on our next trip to the area! Perfect stay!!! "I was looking for a nice, quiet, and relaxing, vacation. This property did not disappoint. The house was comfortable, cozy, well stocked, and so clean. The view is incredible. Just sitting outside watching the river was so "Zen". I had one of the most restful vacations ever. I was there for a little over two weeks and I would have stayed longer if I could have, Kim, the host, was very friendly and helpful. I look forward to staying at this beautiful property again."
