"The house was clean and cozy, and stocked with essentials (dish soap, hand soap, tp, etc). The location was perfectly located for days of hiking, and within walking distance to a local natural foods store and downtown mount shasta. We slept great too. This was a very easy place to stay."

"We stayed here when we came to town for a wedding. It had a great location, within walking distance to multiple restaurants and shops. It was clean and the hot tub was so nice after long days. The downstairs was not available for us to use due to a remodel, which we didn’t know when we originally booked our trip. We were still able to fit everyone in the bunk room so it wasn’t a huge deal. The train is very active at night and you will hear it. Overall a lovely home and we enjoyed our stay."

"We did our annual family vacation and stayed here this year. The neighborhood was beautiful and private. Close drive to town but still like a getaway. The house was lovely. We enjoyed laying in the hammock outside. The leather couches were super comfy and there was plenty of seating at the kitchen bar countertop and the kitchen table for eating and socializing. "The house has an old time cabin feeling with log walls and wooden cabinets. It is a large property located very near to downtown, amid several rows of low-rise condo developments and a hospital. It is very near Highway 5; you can see and hear the highway from the back deck and hot tub. 3 bedrooms upstairs with one hall bath and a bedroom with en suite bath downstairs as well as a 3rd bath next to the living room. 2 car garage. "The house was comfortable and we enjoyed the video game table and the wide variety of interesting books and music. I wouldn't call the waterbed waveless (we've had 2 waterbeds), and we found this one a bit sloshy. Used the wood stove heater for 2 days but I'm sensitive to smoke so we used the electric heater for the last 2 days. The town of Dunsmuir didn't offer much in the way of food or entertainment. "Everything was clean and nice about the property! Nothing bad about the host or anything! However, I personally felt that the bed was extremely uncomfortable, I ended up sleeping on the couch instead. It’s a VERY firm mattress, and I understand that many enjoy that but for me I was in tons of pain trying to sleep on it. This is a personal preference so I’m still rating highly because it was nice otherwise. Just a heads up to others who may prefer a softer bed like me. Loved the bathtub and cute...
