"We enjoyed 3 days of recreation and relaxation by the lake. We took the kayaks out multiple times. It takes about 60-90 minutes to slowly paddle around the lake. There's a beaver's dam to visit, loads of lily pads/flowers, fish, turtles, and ducks. Less than 5 minutes away is a small park with a nice swimming area and hiking trails -- $2 admission per car. "Went for a few days of skiing and touring Manchester, VT. The property was wonderful -- very clean and appealing and in a great location. We could have walked to nearly everything in town, but it was raining so we didn't. We used the stovetop, coffee maker, and watched movies through the available streaming. There were some games in the house, and a welcome gift and note. Heating was comfortable. The manager was friendly. Overall, I'd book this place again."

"The property in is a very quiet place with beautiful views of the Battenkill River. There was plenty of room for our large dog to exercise. The owners were very professional and approachable. We did find kitchenware lacking in preparing our own food. The location was beautiful this time of year, but a bit out of the way as fair as restaurants and stores."

The main house is within view, but only as much as an average neighbor would be. It's one room, but it's above a three+ stall garage and PLENTY big enough for a full kitchen, dining table, two large beds, a wood burning fireplace and sitting area. "Great, large apartment in downtown Bennington, Vermont. Walk to restaurants and shops. Short drive to area attractions. Small amount of traffic noise did not bother us at all. We slept well each night."

"The converted upstairs apartment of a quintessential green barn is surrounded by all sides by picturesque views of the mountains. The setting is private; the host checked in but wasn’t obtrusive; and the field with the Adirondack chairs made our visit! The unit was a little challenging with young kids because it only has a shower, but we made it work for a long weekend."
