It was ok

The listing of VRBO stated that it was a five bedroom home. It actually is a four bedroom home with a loft a bedroom has a closet in it this was extremely disappointing. The barbecue was so full of grease when we put our hamburgers on it. It caught fire the drain in the downstairs bathroom shower does not drain. Takes about 30 minutes for the water to drain. There was no air conditioning in the house.

Multi Gen Fam Vacation

The house fits a large group comfortably. Dishtowels are listed on the things supplied with the house. They only supply 2 kitchen towels, so bring your own. If you want to sit out on either deck, bring some chairs. If you do your own cooking/baking. They only supply 1 tiny oven mitt. (Who can remove a casserole dish from the oven with 1 mitt?) Bring your own. If you don't like to sleep on flat pillows, bring your own. There are no casserole dishes supplied. The pots, pans and cooking utensils leave a lot to be desired. We didn't use the oven the 1st day, so we didn't think to check it. The next night we fixed some casserole dishes and when we went to put them in the oven, we discovered the oven racks were broken! The kitchen looks good, but I don't think anyone really ever does any serious cooking/baking in there. In spite of the kitchen issues we all had a good time.

Stonegate #5

Third year in a row staying in a stonegate property. Perfect location for snowboarding and wonderful place for kids. Everything was perfect! We look forward to coming back next year.

Mammoth cabin home

This home was great size way and had a of sleeping room as was mentioned in the listing. I just didn’t like that the kitchen was not very well stocked with mixing bowls and other common things that would be needed. The house was also on the older side. The location was amazing literally walking distance to the Village once you get out From the house onto the Main Street it was down the road.

Great Space in a Great Location

Stonegate 5 provides ample space for large groups in a central, convenient location. The property provided an excellent setting for our family to enjoy Mammoth Lakes. We highly recommend this property.

Stonegate stay

Our Stonegate #5 3-day stay was an excellent. Property was beautiful and very well located. Accommodations for the 9 family members worked out great. Kitchen was very well appointed, and the living room was spacious, provided ample seating and was very comfortable. All in all, a perfect spot fir a stay in Mammoth Lakes.

Review

There is no 5th bedroom, inconvenience?! The rental needs a lot of repairs/maintenance, rug in the living room area is filthy, not pleasant if walking barefoot, propane tank empty, one of the bedrooms had no remote, television cable box in the living room was not working, very difficult when using the streaming app. Overall great location; however, management company needs to step it up!

Tons of differed maintenance and safety issues

We booked this cabin for my dads 60th bday for 3 nights. The good: The check in process was smooth. The cabin is pretty and in a great location. The bad: the cabin was not thoroughly cleaned and we found beer cans under beds and couches. The master bath sink was clogged and overflowing. The WiFi did not work. The Ugly: my 62 y/o mother sat on a chair in the living room not knowing that one of the legs were broken and injured herself pretty bad. We had to cut our trip short and leave a day early because of this.

Perfect Vacation

Our family: grandparents, parents and 3 kids enjoyed the house. Great accommodations with excellent bedrooms, wonderful public space, spacious dining area, great kitchen and nice play area on the second floor. Ideal location, close to the lifts and the village, We loved it!

I wish I could say it was better!

I think we were just so excited to stay in this beautiful house that when thing went wrong they went very wrong. The house is beautiful and has a great location but there are some thing that we can't look past especially when your are paying A LOT for one night ( it was high season) We recently stayed at this home from January 3rd to the 5th. We had discussed with one of Mammoth Reservation employees to have an early check in since we had family flying in from Australia and Denmark. We had an elderly grandmother and a baby- they knew this and still were not accommodating. We even changed our stay from the 2th-4th to the 3rd-5th because the people staying before us were leaving on the 1st. The cleaners has over 24 hours to clean from the pervious party but when we arrived at 1 pm to pick up the key, and was told we could not check in before 4 pm. That was just the beginning. We got the key and went to the house at 4:00pm, sadly to be disappointed with these major issues: The House was DIRTY! I should have l reread the previous VRBO comments about how dirty it was. There was glitter (big & small) pieces all over the house and with a baby thats just not ideal. The floors were disgusting. When we turn the oven to make a family dinner it started a FIRE because the oven was not cleaned properly ( according to the fire fighters) and it bursted into flames! The whole house was insanely smokey and NO FIRE ALARM went off! Thats scary! We ended up calling the Fire fighters! In the upstairs bedroom was blood stains on the mattress cover which is just GROSS and cleaners should roll that up and throw that away! The internet was awful. Anywhere in the house. Guest bathroom sink was clogged and overflowing when we arrived. Fireplace button to turn fire up or down broken so it was HOT OR no fire. There were multiple dishes and utensils that were very dirty. GROSS The bottom of dishwasher was full of old food. The windows were dirty, very dirty. Window seals looked like they were avoided for a while. Remote in the downstair bedroom had no batteries- inconvenient. The remote in the living room had no back on remote. Overall the experience with the house was not very good. We paid premium dollars for the place and was disappointed the way the house was presented to us. We have rented from Mammoth Reservations before and have never has these issues. It was disappointing how Mammoth Reservations dealt with the situation when we brought it up to them

Mammoth is a beautiful area .. we loved it.

As mentioned when we made our reservation, our family traveled to the area for a family wedding. Our daughter, husband, and 9 month old crawling grandson joined us. The floors at this place were DISGUSTING, dirty and down right gross. So, I spent 3 hours of my paid vacation at this place, cleaning the floors fully and completely so I could hopefully relax and enjoy my stay without worrying about what was on the floor. It was very apparent that the cleaning people mop and sweep these beautiful floors from the centers and walkways, all debris is found in the corners and edges. We found pieces of glass, earrings and loose crews. Look behind every door, you will find debris. It was very apparent that the living room rug under the coffee table has never been vacuumed. We simply rolled it up for our stay. Hopefully someone will vacuum for the next guests. upon arriving and sitting on the couch, we found fresh finger nail clippings. Someone had clipped their fingernails and had left us their treasures. So yes, this too had to be disinfected with the wipes we brought. As ,mentioned, we were here for a wedding !!! There is NO IRON & BOARD at this place. We had to jump in the car and search the town for an iron and ironing board. Crazy that you spend this kind of money for a place like this and NOT have an iron. Loved the location ......

A pleasurable but pricey place to stay in an idyllic resort village.

We really liked our condo with beautiful wood, very high ceilings, beautiful but poorly equipped kitchen, walls of huge windows, and state of the art baths.

Great Property - - Needs some TLC

We absolutely love going to Mammoth and stayed here over Easter weekend and had 9 people and we were all very comfortable. The location is perfect and super close to the village and town. The house and the finishes is beautiful, however it would have been nice to have a bit more upgraded furniture (sofa has a cushion ripping off, and past it's worn out date) for the amount we're spending, as well as enough living room furniture to fit the number of people that can stay in the home. The kitchen is a great size for a lot of people, however the dishwasher wasn't working upon our arrival, but we did call maintenance and they did come and fix it. There was also a minimal amount of supplies, including forks and spoons, cooking utensils. Overall we loved the home, just needs a little bit of TLC (Paint touch up, tighten up door handles, replace lightbulbs, etc.)
