Stayed in this hotel for a week during Ramadan. I'll give it a 7.5/10.
Good things about this hotel
- The location: The hotel is a 10 minutes walk to the Haram(if your young), the first walk until Anjum hotel is a upward slope and then from Anjum hotel the walk is easy since the hotel has escalators. The walk back to this hotel is also easy but time consuming especially in Ramadan.
- Cleanliness: The hotel is clean overall.
- Staff: The staff is amazing and very accommodating. The Arab guys working at the counter were understanding and they spoke English. On our last day when we asked them to check out late, they agreed. Also when we wanted to catch a taxi while checking out, one of the maintenance workers helped us get a taxi which was very kind.
Bad things about this hotel
- Room condition: Though not a big issues but the room had 2 flies when we arrived which we had to get out. The bedsheets although clean were burned somehow. The window never closed so you'd hear the outside world and cold air would seep into the room
- Lack of images: When booking this hotel I forgot to check for images on the washroom, but to no surprise it makes sense why they don't add any washroom images. The washroom was hilariously small and the sick is outside the washroom. The washroom was clean but everything was very compact and when taking showers water would go everywhere.
- No Iron: On expedia it says that this hotel provides Iron/Ironing Board on request, but hotel didn't give me any.
