"Extremely overpriced room. The bar downstairs was so expensive same with the little store with 15$ candy. The air conditioner was so loud all night and the bed was so hard and uncomfortable. The pool is small and cold. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. Only good thing is the location."

"Neighbors beside using room as drug sales and injection site. New customers every 30/45 min all day and night. Very scary. On day 2 i mentioned it to staff, was told they would move us, which would have been a best case option. Nothing happened. Upon checkout management denied it was drugs and defended them. Asked me to leave the property. If this is there tenants they wish to have, why advertise family friendly??? My son got a real life lesson in homelessness and drug use this past weekend."

"Property is located right off the highway so it is a busy spot. Close the stores and groceries. Beds weren't the most comfortable but slept on worse. The man who checked me in was kind enough to move me to a room that would be quiet as I was going to be up very early for the ferry."

"The place was clean! A bright, simple room, one queen bed, a window to the street, bathrooms close by across the hall. There's a roomy kitchen-living-relaxing space, fridges, free tea and coffee (the manager, John, makes a pot in the morning.) The location was excellent--right on the corner of Bastion and Commercial street, giving you walkable access to all the main attractions of Nanaimo. "The room was clean, comfortable, and properly maintained, which I appreciated. However, my experience at the front desk was disappointing. The girl at the hotel counter was very rude and unprofessional. She did not know how to speak to customers respectfully and lacked basic customer service skills. Good hospitality starts with polite and professional staff, so this part of the experience was not satisfactory."
