Desert Rose is a privately-owned bungalow nestled in the lush tropically-landscaped grounds of Castle Close, an enclave of holiday villas within steps of a lovely beach on Barbados' breezy south-east coast.

This cottage has three privately appointed bedrooms, each with ensuite bathroom, air-conditioning and ceiling fan. There is a spacious living room with home comforts such as cable television, wi-fi and an attractive collection of books. The adjoining dining room, with table seating for six, has French doors opening onto the patios. To the east is the garden terrace, ideal for enjoying the fresh breezes off the ocean, while appreciating the beauty of the surrounding gardens and, perhaps, an afternoon cup of tea. On the western side of the dining room, also accessed from the kitchen, is a covered patio with a private dining and seating area. There is a coal-fired BBQ, which can be wheeled out to the patio if desired. Beyond the back patio is the pool, with its small waterfall and partially covered deck, set amongst palm trees and flowering shrubs. Here guests can also enjoy their meals in an informal and shaded setting.

The furnishings throughout the cottage are comfortable and elegantly casual. The kitchen and adjoining laundry are spacious and well equipped, and maid service is provided three half days per week. For those guests booking a short term rental who would like to try the local cuisine in the comfort of their villa, arrangements can be made for the services of a cook, for an additional fee. Delivery of groceries or the preparation of a meal in advance of your arrival can also be organized.

This tropical villa can be enjoyed by a family or group of friends. Located away from the hustle and bustle of the trafficked tourist areas, visitors can unwind and relax in this peaceful holiday retreat where the sound of the ocean's waves provides a soothing backdrop. Car rental can also be arranged for those who wish to tour the island, visit the nearby majestic east coast, or make a trip to Bridgetown.

Security is provided in the Castle Close Complex from 7 pm to 5 am daily.
