If you like your homes boldly eclectic and effortlessly cool, then prepare yourself — this three-bedroom pad achieves it all and then some. Stark brick walls, whitewashed beams, and an on-point use of glass and chrome bring the industrial flair, whilst avant-garde artwork, architectural staircases, and an expertly modernist top-floor extension douses it all in some North London-chic. And if that's not tempting enough, it's neatly packaged in a standout, pastel-painted house, on a private, gated street, just a short walk from Archway Station. Oh, and there's a roof terrace. Cue jazz hands...
Far be it from us to gush, but there's a lot to be excited about here. Design-lovers will be delighted by the contrasting textures, stripped-back materials, and architectural flourishes (that staircase though) that make it feel hip and curated, yet down-to-earth. The open-plan living room combines striking interiors with a cushy L-shaped sofa, large dining table, and a vibrant array of artwork, mingling accents of colour with the exposed brickwork. And if it's colour you want, we're very keen on the turquoise chairs in the kitchen, especially when illuminated from the skylight above. Nip down the central floating staircase, and you'll find three inviting bedrooms — two of them pairing unapologetically edgy, white-brick walls with a slightly softer, vintage aesthetic; and the other, a zen, blue palette and trundle bed. The top floor takes it up a notch with a stylishly minimalist loft space, equipped with its own kitchenette (no need to head downstairs for snacks) and opening onto a showstopper roof terrace. Decked out with a dining table and perfectly screened from the neighbours, it's a terrific spot to soak up the sun (and some cocktails) in summer.
We love...
The three bathrooms deserve an honourable mention, from the terrazzo tiles, to the slate-grey shower, sleek brickwork, and freestanding bathtub. We also adore the pastel tones and industrial-style Juliet balcony (you'll get it when you see it) that make the front of the house jump out from the rest. And then there's the private street location, with its charming cobbles and lamp posts — the perfect, unique spot for a perfectly unique home.
**To rent this property, the minimum age requirement is 25 years old.**
Home Truths:
No smoking, pets, or parties! The third bedroom has a single trundle bed that pulls out to sleep two guests (not pictured). We think this home is best suited to four adults and two children — although not for under six year olds. A railway line runs behind this home, so you can hear the occasional hum of trains but it's not noisy. There's one off-road parking spot on request and the street itself is gated, making your stay feel extra quiet and secure. If using the parking space, please make sure to park inside the lines. The spaces are not generous so if you have a large vehicle and it doesn't fit in the space, please park on Marlborough Road or elsewhere.
Please note our standard check-in times are 3pm-9pm. Check-ins outside of these hours are subject to additional fees.
