Shabby chic without the chic. Extremely compact bathroom (wash hand basin in the actual shower). But if you just want an average bed in an above average part of town and don't mind lugging your suitcase up stairs it's in a great position. London ain't cheap is all I can say!

We had operation for our son and wasn’t provided a stay so this was affordable on the ground floor family room with kitchenette. There was enough space to bring our travel cot for our baby and the room we chose no deposit was required. You get given the code to enter on the day and the key box. Not like on advertised photo but the area was safe to walk at night and quiet but ensure you pre book car park by googling shows the walking distance and price. Shops are in walking distance. Hot plate cooker isn’t provided but we brought our own food to put on fridge which has small freezer too, microwave and kettle. They have cutlery plates but half of it was there. Was dusty on shelves but apartment needs an update. The skirting boards was apart but bed is new and comfortable. Towels were provided, shower gel and shampoo in shower room, they do respond WhatsApp quick, the main number connection wasn’t so great. Carpet does need a clean my feet got dirty but the shower toilet was in good condition. You can’t beat the price around £55 a night compared to other places which is hundreds in comparison but do ask what you need for stay, you do need to empty rubbish in the outside bin near the garden.

Unfortunately I can't recommend staying here. Although the staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was not clean (the floor looked un-vacuumed, the mirror had paint stains and fingerprints on it) and our room was provided a towel with several stains on it. The staff were very quick to replace the towel when I brought it to their attention. The room had a kitchenette, which was very nice and would be an affordable way to eat in London if you're staying for a long period of time, but the kitchenette sink was the only one in the room (no bathroom sink), and the sink has a shelf quite low overtop of it, so doing routine things like washing your face and spitting after brushing were very difficult and resulted in hitting your head each time. It was very hot while we were there (no problem, generally) and while the hotel did provide us with a fan it was a poorly-functioning one with an uneven cage over the front so the blade hit the caging each time it rotated. This resulted in an extremely annoying sound and we couldn't figure out how to fix it. We did not bring this to the attention of the staff (I'm sure they would have been helpful if we had). Luckily, the windows opened, but they don't stay open without a support and there was nothing provided to prop them open. Overall, the place is in a great area and there are friendly people around, but it's an old building so you can hear everything and it was not very comfortable.

Kommen wieder, aber...

Lage wirklich top..W2..Umgebung reizend...alles was es zum Leben braucht in 2 Min erhältlich..Restaurants aus aller Welt..Underground 3Min.Kommunikation mit LC.gut...ABER die Sauberkeit..grusig..die Gemeinschaft WCs total versifft..wirlich alte Exkrementenspuren und Urinflecken an der Tür innen die auch nach Reinigung durch MA noch vorhanden sind...Waschbecken Armaturen...ganze WC aussen innen etc..Spiegel.Dusche im Zimmer wurde offensichtlich vor unserem Einzug nicht gereinigt...Wände altes Duschgel...Haare im Duschbecken..und das weisse Bodentuch war ziemlich schwarz nachdem ich die Trittfläche vor Duschbecken damit abwischte.Schön wäre auch eine neue Jalousie in room 11...die vorhandene ist wirklich kaputt und sehr verdreckt. Fazit: die Basics der Sauberkeit und Hygiene hat nichts mit Geld zu tun..Einfach und fair im Preis..sehr gern...aber nicht dreckig pls.

Emplacement ok, mais le lit trop petite, trop de bruit, isolation nulle. L’évacuation de la douche de ma chambre était bouché, pas agréable du tout ! Sur les annonces ne communiquent pas que les toilettes sont partagés, juste quand la réservation est déjà faite. Les photos des annonces ne correspondent pas à la réalité.

DO NOT STAY HERE, unless you are unable to find any other accommodation in London. We arrived and immediately let to find another hotel. No refund provided but was worth paying not to stay here. Terrible mildew smell in hallways and in rooms. Thin walls so you can hear TV next door. Stain on the bedsheets. Bathroom is so small you can't turn around. Room in basement was like a dungeon. Should be a 0-star rating. Pictures are not accurate. Worst experience ever in an Expedia-booked hotel.

DISGUSTING ROOMS -Do NOT BOOK!!

The WORST, most disgusting “hotel” full of mold, dirt, an unclean shower, awful smell of mildew- furniture falling apart and shockingly grotesque in every way possible. They refused our refund request, horrible communication after we reported this. BEWARE!! Do NOT STAY HERE! We are pursuing legal action having been duped by photos that are a misrepresentation!
Every inch of the room was run down and the smell of mold was in the whole building.
Shower with cracks, mildew, used shampoos, moldy shower curtain.
Shelves all scratched, and only a few dirty mismatched dishes
Filthy carpets throughout - paint splatters, dust, trash…

When we booked in we were given the basement 3 unit. This unit was certainly not what they advertised. Its hard to know where to start. Access was ok but stairs to basement not wide. Upon entry we were greeted with an kitchen in the hallway with very limited equipment. One wine glass, one fork, no tea towel, no toaster, 5watt light that was useless and a minute rubbish bin. There was a few plates and 2 cups. No teabags or coffee. One kettle, one microwave. On the right of the hall was a toilet that i was unable to close the door until I sat down. Upon completions of toileting, the door had to be opened up to complete the task. The seat had been broken and repaired and it leaked when you flushed. The next hallway door was a shower cubical entry floor that was broken, and dangerous in my opinion. The shower floor was dirty and stained. The bed was comfortable. No room at all to open a case so that had to be jammed in the small closet. Bedside table only on one side and a powerboard that had a burnt out socket. Only natural light was a small door that opened onto a courtyard that looked into another flat. I alerted the owners on the first day but there was no response at all. I beleive that this unit was not the room advertised and would not recommended staying here.

The room was clean. The bed was firm but I liked it. There was plenty of hot water in the shower. The room was small and the bathroom smaller. Good for a single traveler.

The hotel was very good. Sister hitel of Phoenix Hotel, 4 doors down. Reception/breakfast area which used there are very nice. Great location being only 10pm or so from Bayswater shops, eateries. Just one thing, place had no lift. I on 3rd floor.
