Light & Modern 2-Bed Notting Hill Apartment

A bright two-bed apartment in Notting Hill / Portobello with many cafes, bars, restaurants, boutique & antique shops. The area is in close proximity to Hyde Park, Kensington Palace, Oxford Street, Westfield Shopping Centre, and Museums in South Kensington with well connected bus and train services in the local area. The apartment is also equipped with high speed Internet/WiFi and Netflix.

The apartment benefits with all the necessary mod cons such as a fully functional kitchen (with an oven, hob/stove, microwave and washer/dryer), usb sockets located throughout the apartment, smart technology such as the Nest Thermostat, Smart Door Locks (24 Hour Check-In), heated floors in the bathroom, fitted wardrobes, double glazed windows and a modern insulated apartment.

Other additions include a Smart LED TV, Netflix, high-speed WiFi / Internet Access, extendable dining table (to accomodate 4 people), corner sofa.

You are ideally located In the Heart of Notting Hill, where you will find the World-famous Portobello Market on your doorstep just 5 minutes’ walk down the road. Also The Notting Hill Bookshop, made famous by the film Notting Hill, is on the same street as the apartment.

Portobello market stretches for over two miles and is best known for its antique vendors selling anything from furniture, clothing to collectibles.

The apartment itself is located next to the Antiques and Fruit & Veg sections of the Market. Expect to see a variety of antiques and collectibles from all around the world and dating from Roman times to the 1960s. With hundreds of market stalls, shops, arcades, cafés and restaurants.

The market is at its busiest on a Saturday with its Secondhand Flea Market where you’ll find vintage clothing, jewellery, books, and music – and Acklam Village Market with its international food stalls, bar and free live music (also family friendly).

At the northern end of the market is Golborne Road Market, which is a very well-known area to the locals for its thriving Portuguese and North African communities. There are an eclectic mix of international food stalls, restaurants from everyday cafes to upscale cuisine, second-hand and vintage wares, architectural antiques, fashion boutiques.

Other areas within the proximity of the neighbourhood includes Westbourne Grove, best known for its trendy & niche boutique stores as well as popular restaurants such as Beach Blanket Babylon and 202 Westbourne Grove - and the Walmer Castle Pub (on Ledbury Road), which is now owned by David Beckham and Guy Ritchie.

The local area includes a variety of trendy bars and gastro pubs to name a few such as The Westbourne, The Cow, The Elgin, UKAI, The Oak, The Ginstitute.

There is also a 2 Michelin Star restaurant called The Ledbury, which is literally a few doors down from the apartment.

There are many local parks within the area such as St Stephen’s Gardens, Powis Square and Colville Square Gardens. All ideally catered for the children with play areas such as swings, slides, picnic tables and basketball court.

Bus No. 27 & 31 (to Camden Town, for Camden Market)
Bus No. 31 (to Shepherd's Bush, for Westfield London, Europe's Largest Shopping Centre)
Bus No. 52 and 452 (to Royal Albert Hall and Knightsbridge)

Also, whilst you're visiting London, don't forget to install a very useful app called Citymapper. This is one of the best travelling apps to get you in and around the city and its free to download on your phone (Apple & Android Users). It shows the quickest routes to get to your destination via the best modes of transport whether you want to travel by bus, train or other means.

Inside the apartment you will discover my very own Guidebook. Within the first few pages of this book you will note it contains useful tips and information about the apartment e.g. wifi code, check-out instructions etc.

Nevertheless the Guidebook predominantly provides you with information about the local area such as the nearest Supermarkets/Grocery Stores, ATMs, Banks, Currency Exchange, Pharmacy, local trains stations.
