We had a comfortable stay. The layout and location were both very favorable. It’s a bright, well ventilated unit, very close to Hyde Park, with multiple eateries and grocery stores within walking distance. The layout is great for larger groups. When anything broke down, the host was quick to replace the item promptly. Our only complaint is that the unit is not maintained very well. The sofa has patches of old stains and the floor tiles were broken in many places. Water drainage was a bit slow in the shower and kitchen sink. If they can address these issues, future guests will have a more comfortable stay.

Property booked not available. Replacement offered was totally inadequate

When we arrived at the property, we were told as the owners agent open the door that this was not the property we had rented and this is where we would be staying. What we booked was a lavishly furnished absolutely chic flat in Hyde Park. What we were given look like a third world apartment in Syria. There was a major tripping hazard in multiple rooms. The radioActor was falling off of the wall. The quality of the towels were cheap And there was dirt on the rug, the table in the living room. When we told the owners agent we were leaving he said he could show us a different property. He should’ve showed us that one first this was absolutely unacceptable.

Sadly, not as expected

We were relocated unexpectedly just prior to check in. They said it was an upgrade but we found the place not up to even a standard of rental. When asked if we could check in early, were told we could not as other guests were checking out. However, this was not the case as a layer of dust covered everything, multiple grease stains on the oven door and on stove top. Additionally, black mold noted in shower, dirty shower floors, and soap scum on walls. 4 towels for 4 adults for 3 nights, cracked toilet seats, freezer over iced with broken drawers. Photos only show some of what we encountered on arrival. Moreover, we could not get the AC to work nor the TV and no instructions were found to access these amenities. I contacted the host and requested to be moved or provide a discount on our stay. The response was to send someone to dust and mop, and an apology. Nice—- but not sufficient. I am still waiting for a reduced rate on our stay.

Beware: scam!

I booked this property weeks before my family’s trip to London. The morning we were to check in, I messaged with the host to arrange check in, etc. then, just an hour or two before we were due to be at the property, the host “cancelled” our reservation, leaving us with nowhere to stay. My husband and I had to scramble to book another hotel extremely last minute and ended up paying twice as much as we initially planned on. Highly inconvenient. Others should beware.
