Luminoso, amplio y elevado piso de planta baja en una propiedad de época en una calle bastante residencial en una zona bien comunicada y peculiar. A cute house

The house is very nice, has a private garden and is well equipped. The neighborhood is quiet and is 45 minutes from the center by train. I needed a little more communication from the owner and some kitchen utensils should be renewed. Other than that, pretty good.

It was amazing. Very cozy and relaxing. The way to and from the underground is very easy to understand and they're not too far from each other aswell. Communication with the owner was also very easy. The only thing that wasn't so great was the shower/bathtub. It was very confusing to use and somehow can only be used with hot water. It would also be nice to have a fan or some sort of cooling system in summer.

Like staying in your college-age son’s place

The good: It was sufficiently roomy (though much smaller than it appears in the photos), the bed was reasonably comfortable, there were plenty of hangers and adequate storage for clothes, the location was good, the neighborhood was nice, the main room had a lot of windows which made for nice light in the mornings, windows could be opened in every room except the bathroom, the radiators in every room could be adjusted individually, and it was a good price.The bad: I know that the tub had been cleaned before our arrival because there was still a layer of cleanser on its surface. It was easy enough to wipe this up before bathing, but still. Our first cups of tea tasted very off; I took a scrub brush to the tea kettle and cleaned away a lot of what I’m assuming was mineral build-up. Subsequent brews were also a bit off, however, so we took to buying bottled water to use in making tea, coffee, and just drinking water. There were plenty of towels in both the bath and kitchen, but they were all thin and sometimes stained. There were four pillows on the bed: two were very flat and hard and the other two were lumpy—like sacks of poorly cooked oatmeal. The toaster did not work. The ugly: The main room included a dehumidifier which really needed to be emptied regularly as the apartment tended to smell of damp. There were patches of black mold on one wall in the bedroom as well as behind the toilet and on the bathroom ceiling.

Good stay

Overall we had a good experience at this property. Many basic kitchen stuff were available, even a clothing line and detergents to use the washer. The location was great, at a calm area and close to many amenities. The owner was super responsive. My only concern would be the cleanliness. There was a lot of mold in the bathroom and blankets and towels provided weren't smelling like clean clothes and overall the house wasn't smelling like cleaned even though we found the cleaner at the flat when we checked in.

Review for Canadians and Americans

By Canadian and American standards, the apartment is small, but it’s normal for London. The washing machine works well and detergent was provided. There is no dryer, which is also normal. There’s an outside clothes line and an indoor rack. No dishwasher. The bed is firm and comfortable. The house got quite warm, and UK homes generally don’t have window screens. Luckily, not a lot of bugs either. There is some mould on the bathroom caulking and grout. The frying pans and cooking utensils need replacing. Nonetheless, most kitchen items were provided. The host was extremely communicative, prompt, and helpful. He is five stars. The place is a 15-minute walk to the nearest subway station. The neighborhood seemed quite safe and was quiet. I do recommend it, but remember it won’t be like what you’re used to at home.

Amazing!

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay! The host was very understanding and flexible and having the whole place for ourselves was amazing, especially for our first trip together. The kitchen is fully equipped and there’s even a washing machine which was perfect for us! The apartment was clean, very close to WoodGreen station and overall, everything was great. I would 100% come back and I really recommend it!

Très bon rapport qualité prix

Appartement confortable, cosy et assez spacieux pour les critères de la ville. Les environs sont très calmes. On s'y sent très bien à l'intérieur. La météo ne nous a pas permis de profiter du jardin malheureusement Il est bien placé depuis le centre de la ville car il se trouve sur la ligne de métro de picadilly. L'appartement était propre et disposait de tout le nécessaire. Petite remarque, comme bien souvent dans les locations, les poêles et les casseroles étaient abîmées. Mais ne pas hésiter. Pour notre part nous gardons de côté cette bonne adresse

Perfect for us!

The apartment was really comfy and cozy. It is situated in a traditional London townhouse in a residential area with some small supermarkets and a few restaurants close by. In short: It was exactly what we wanted and expected. If you are looking for new and fancy, look elsewhere. The location of the apartment is perfect for a visit to London: "Bowes Park" overground station is an easy 10-Minute-Walk away, but we chose to walk an additional 5 Minutes to "Bounds Green" underground station, which connects the area to Central London and many of the best known sightseeing spots as well as St Pancras international railway station via the Piccadilly Line. We didn't get to meet Paolo in person, but we always felt well informed via text messages and there was no problem which would have required a phone call. Still I don't have any doubt that he would have been helpful in that case, too. We really had a wonderful time and we will try to book the apartment again for our next trip to London!

Perfect for a few weeks!

My husband and I just moved to London and while we were finding a place, we stayed here. I can't tell you how much of a blessing it was! It's cozy but you still have space. It's tucked away but still only 30-40 minutes to the center of the city. Our host was super kind and always texted us back in a timely manner. The neighbors were nice and there are a few good grocery stores in walking distance. We have loved this flat and would recommend to anyone visiting! For the space and location, the price we paid made it a steal. Great place and fantastic experience.

Nice, bright apartment with all basic necessities

It was a great apartment for us to stay while looking for more long-term accommodation in London. Had everything we needed, and Paolo responded nicely to any queries. Pleasant living room with the big windows towards the street - but shielded by the nice green hedge, and a very nice kitchen facing the back yard. The neighborhood is calm and there is a nice (but short) river path for taking a stroll. The Underground (or train) is a bit of a walk away, though we didn't mind the exercise, and buses to Turnpike Lane and beyond are just a 2 minute walk.

Fabulous flat, fabulous area and the most fabulous owner, Paolo!

Staying at Paolos flat was wonderful. He was so friendly, helpful and flexible, even though I made a massive faux on pas on the first night. He was incredibly understanding and forgiving. and just wanted to ensure I enjoyed the stay despite inconveniencing him massively.. Always available at the end of the phone. Works quickly and efficiently to deal with concerns. Overall it was a fantastic experience, hosted by a really genuine and lovely guy, Will definitely come back….sorry Paolo, I am coming back😬😬🤣🤣😘

Great all around

We loved staying here. Very nice place, the location is great for relaxing with nice walks near the house, lots of good food and international shops. It's also not far from several different areas such as Palmers Green, Wood Green and Alexandra Palace. Paolo was helpful throughout. Gracie Paolo!

Really enjoyed our stay. Loved the neighborhood. Wish the underground stop had been a tad closer, but only because we had our tired 6 & 8 year old boys with us, & they were exhausted every night! 🙂 Quite close for an adult-only adventure.

Beim Parken vor dem Objekt stellten wir fest, dass man eine Parkgenehmigung braucht. Der Vermieter war telefonisch nicht erreichbar. Erst am nächsten Morgen hatten wir Kontakt . Angesprochen auf die Parkgenehmigung: die meisten Mieter kommen ohne Auto! Vielleicht sollte man bei Buchung danach fragen. Eine Parkgenehmigung war so schnell nicht zu bekommen( Termine des Vermieters ) es wurde uns vorgeschlagen gegen Gebühr auf einem entfernteren Parkplatz zu parken. Bei der gegenüber liegenden Kirche durfte ich dann, nach Rücksprache mit dem Vikar, für eine Spende von 10£ parken.

Comfortable Flat, Flexible & Easy Checkin/out

This is a complete flat in a multi-unit house located in an older neighbourhood. Amenities include a full kitchen with all cookware & utensils, a combined living/dining room, a large bathroom & very comfortable bed in bedroom. The ground floor location is very convenient. It is very quiet despite the other flats in the house. It's about 15 minute walk to the tube where there are various restaurants & fruit shops. If there's one thing that can be improved, it's that the bathroom floor gets quite wet during a shower because the glass door does not provide adequate cover. We had to mop the floor after showering & it dries quickly. We loved the sunny kitchen & livingroom. Paolo, the owner, responded to our queries promptly & was very flexible with our schedule. We would stay here again when we return to London. We recommend this place.

We enjoyed our stay in London and Paolo made us feel at home. Even though we walked all over often several miles in a day our walk to and from subway daily added a couple miles a day. I am 75 so it probably wouldn’t bother younger couples. Size of rooms and amenities great.
