A bright two-bed apartment in Notting Hill / Portobello equipped with high speed Internet/WiFi and Netflix.

There is an array of cafes, bars, restaurants, boutique & antique shops within a shortwalk with the heart of Portobello Market just 300 yards away.

The area is well connect with great transport links that can take you to areas within close proximity such as Hyde Park, Kensington Palace, Oxford Street, Westfield Shopping Centre, and Museums in South Kensington.

This is a recently renovated apartment (built originally in the 19th Century).

The apartment now benefits with all the mod-cons of the 21st Century.

This includes a fully functional open-plan kitchen with an oven, hob/stove, microwave and combination washer/dryer, kettle, toaster, French Press Cafetiere etc.

The apartment is also embraced with convenient technology such as:

- High-speed Internet / WiFi
- Smart TV (for Netflix, YouTube etc)
- USB sockets (located in each room)
- Nest (Smart) Thermostat (for you to adjust the temperature of the apartment to your preference)

You are ideally located In the Heart of Notting Hill, where you will find the World-famous Portobello Market on your doorstep just 5 minutes’ walk down the road. Also The Notting Hill Bookshop, made famous by the film Notting Hill, is on the same street as the apartment.

Portobello market stretches for over two miles and is best known for its antique vendors selling anything from furniture, clothing to collectibles.

The apartment itself is located next to the Antiques and Fruit & Veg sections of the Market. Expect to see a variety of antiques and collectibles from all around the world and dating from Roman times to the 1960s. With hundreds of market stalls, shops, arcades, cafés and restaurants.

The market is at its busiest on a Saturday with its Secondhand Flea Market where you’ll find vintage clothing, jewellery, books, and music – and Acklam Village Market with its international food stalls, bar and free live music (also family friendly).

At the northern end of the market is Golborne Road Market, which is a very well-known area to the locals for its thriving Portuguese and North African communities. There are an eclectic mix of international food stalls, restaurants from everyday cafes to upscale cuisine, second-hand and vintage wares, architectural antiques, fashion boutiques.

Other areas within the proximity of the neighbourhood includes Westbourne Grove, best known for its trendy & niche boutique stores as well as popular restaurants such as Beach Blanket Babylon, Ottolenghi and 202 Westbourne Grove - and the Walmer Castle Pub (on Ledbury Road), which is owned by David Beckham and Guy Ritchie.

The local area includes a variety of trendy bars and gastro pubs to name a few such as The Westbourne, The Cow, The Elgin, UKAI, The Oak, The Ginstitute.

There is also a 2 Michelin Star restaurant called The Ledbury, which is literally a few doors away from the apartment.

There are many local parks within the area such as St Stephen’s Gardens, Powis Square and Colville Square Gardens. All ideally catered for the children with play areas such as swings, slides, picnic tables and basketball court.

There are also a number of local bus services that can take you to many popular attractions such as:

Bus No. 31 (to Shepherd's Bush, for Westfield London, Europe's Largest Shopping Centre)
Bus No. 52 and 452 (to Royal Albert Hall, Knightsbridge and the Victoria station area)

Also, whilst you're visiting London, don't forget to install a very useful app called Citymapper. This is one of the best travelling apps to get you in and around the city and its free to download on your phone (Apple & Android Users). It shows the quickest routes to get to your destination via the best modes of transport whether you want to travel by bus, train or other means.

Fantastic little place in Portobello/Notting Hill

My daughter and I stayed here for six nights in June while we visited friends and the fantastic sites of London. This little two bedroom apartment was absolutely perfect for the two of us. It is close to everything you need including groceries, delicious coffee and fresh smoothies, a Pharmacy, the Portobello market, and the tube stations. Clifford the property manager was very responsive and very kindly had a few essentials in the mini fridge for us upon our arrival which we appreciated! The beds and pillows were comfy, the closet space plentiful. The only thing I would suggest is perhaps drapes on the living room window as it is directly across from other apartments and I felt conscious of privacy (Both bedrooms had good blackout blinds which was essentially when jetlagging from Canada!). Guests should be aware the restaurant next door (WestEgg, which has delicious food) is also a nightclub on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights which was annoying. Other than that, a great place to stay while enjoying the fabulousness of London!
