"The check-in process was smooth, the host was very welcoming - the features of the room and service were explained in full. The room looked and smelt beautifully clean. All the amenities we could have wanted were provided. Great shower, complementary toiletries and a super comfy bed with top quality linen! Check out was hassle free. The rooms are above a pub and the courtyard below can get quite lively but it didn't disturb us too much. The only thing I would like to see is a private courtyard...

"We stayed in an apartment with our three children. It was lovely and clean and perfect for us. We had two double beds in the living room and still plenty of space, and a separate bedroom with another double bed and the bathroom. The apartment was really well stocked with cutlery and plates cups etc. No issues with anything the apartment was really tidy and clean. The breakfast was lovely and staff very helpful. "I really enjoyed my one night stay at Y Pengwern. The bar was friendly when we checked in, and when I was shown my room was amazed at how big it was. I was backpacking and there was plenty of room to reorganise my kit, and the bed was large and very comfortable. After a long day's walk we were looking forward to food, and were very happy with the big hearty meals we had in the restaurant. "The food here is amazing and you can't beat the location for touring North Wales. Janna was the star of the place. That said, the room needs serious maintenance. The mattress was completely shot—sagging with metal springs that poked into my body every time I moved. For me, the most important part of a trip is to have a good night to sleep and it baffles me that this hotel has this Kind of mattresses. The pillars were OK though. "An amazing property in an idyllic location, peaceful and quiet. Super close to so many outdoor activities we were spoilt for choice. We were a party of 7 adults and the property felt spacious with a well stocked kitchen, outdoor eating area and large living room. Communication was great, clear friendly and incredibly helpful. "It was clean and tidy and decent kitchen facilities, there was no coffee table or table to eat at so we had to eat on our laps which was not ideal. The garden could do with a gate as it's on the main road to Pwllheli - we could not let our dogs out. The garden was chipping pretty much and surrounded by a caravan motorhome storage , no plants and pretty uninviting so we never used it even though the weather was good - the garden could do with some plants.
