Cozy Bedroom in 17-century Villa with Snooker, BBQ in Sintra Historic Center
- Room 3 is our smallest bedroom: a cosy base for one or two guests, with a 160 × 200 cm queen bed and one private bathroom directly adjoining the room, with a bathtub and shower.
The room has a mini fridge, microwave, kettle, coffee machine, plates, bowls, cups, glasses and cutlery, plus a TV and heating. The main house’s kitchen has a hob and oven and is shared; please leave it clean after use.
You are welcome to enjoy the shared snooker table, piano, guitar, violin, library, fireplace lounge, dining room, veranda and patio with stone barbecue. These areas are shared with the family and other guests; the bedroom and bathroom are private.
Private use of Room 3 and its attached bathroom. Shared access to the main kitchen with hob and oven, snooker room, music room, library, lounge, dining room, veranda, patio and stone barbecue. Please leave the shared kitchen clean. Other bedrooms and the family’s private rooms are not included.
We are a family home, with Alex and his mum living on site. Enjoy an independent stay with self check-in. Contact us through your booking conversation whenever you need help. Remote support is available 24/7; there is no staffed reception.
Stay in Sintra’s historic centre, surrounded by old lanes, traditional cafés and the green landscape that makes the town special. Explore the National Palace of Sintra and Quinta da Regaleira, then return to the calm of our family villa and its shared patio, music room and library. Sintra is hilly: expect slopes and steps when exploring on foot.
The historic centre is best explored on foot. For attractions farther uphill, such as Pena Palace and the Moorish Castle, plan transport and admission in advance. The railway connects Sintra with Lisbon; local buses and taxis are other options. Driving and parking in the old town can be difficult, so check your arrival and parking instructions before travelling.
Velvet Sintra is a family home, not a hotel, and has no staffed reception. Alex and his mum live on site, with remote support available.
Self check-in is from 15:00, including late arrivals; check-out is by 12:00. Your arrival instructions and video are sent before your stay. Please respect quiet hours from 23:00 to 07:00 and local fire restrictions when using outdoor facilities.
Breakfast costs €12.50 per person, with your chosen time between 07:00 and 11:00. Order at least 24 hours in advance. Homemade food, drinks and laundry are optional paid services.
The cleaning fee is €15 per stay. If travelling with pets, please tell us: the pet fee is €35 per stay, regardless of the number of pets or nights. Applicable tourist tax is separate.
