Enjoy family & friends while watching great surf action from hot tub

Surf & sandy beach are steps from your deck. Great Room looks over the sand & surf with fireplace & knotty pine vaulted ceilings. Great home for anyone that can't do stairs. Three of the 5 bedrooms are on the entry floor along with 2 full baths. There is 2 king bedroom, 2 Queen bedrooms & 1 twin bedroom. Kids love playing in the loft (finished attic space off the twin bedroom). Kitchen is fully stocked for preparing a big meal . Outdoor fire-pit, deck overlooking the ocean with private stairs right down to the sand and a close walk to tide pools. Sun room with wicker furnishings and patio are great for coolers, bikes, etc.

The home provided everything for all ages. You needed for nothing. It was well kept and provided room to spread out and enjoy multiple things going on. The location was perfect and the view was beautiful. Each couple had privacy and kids had a fort/cave hideout that they enjoyed. We loved our stay.

Amazing Stay

We loved our week at Heathergate. The location can’t be beat, and all people in our party enjoyed walking the beach and exploring tide pools! The home was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Karen was very responsive when we contacted her about an issue with the hot tub. We hope to get to come back again!

One of the best vacations EVER!!!

This house is fantastic! The pictures online do not do enough to show how beautiful the views are. The house has impressive characteristics since it was built in the late 1920s. More importantly, Karen was fantastic to work with. We ended up having a small problem, and after speaking to Karen, she worked hard to resolve the issue as best as possible. It says a lot when you have a rental manager on top of trying to make our stay as wonderful as possible. We will be back for sure!!!

While it has some "rustic" charm to it, it is old and needs some major updating. They have put in new flooring, bidets, and fancy mirrors. Home has an odd smell, is very dimly lit at night so once that sun goes down, the home is very dark and gloomy. Exterior has dim lights too and we had to pack and unpack in the dark - not awesome. Hot tub is so very small. Not sure how anyone can relax in it. We have rented other homes at Roads End in the past due to location and beach access. Was disappointed in this rental unfortunately. Wanted to love it but didnt. Glad we were only here for a couple days- too dark of a home to stay longer with all the wood and dim lights. You dont realize how drabby it feels until you get there. I can see why some might appreciate the old charm vibes it has, I learned I need more natural light, brighter lights, and brighter walls. Heating is wonky. Back door is old and you get a very cold windy draft blowing in on stormy rainy days - thank goodness for the fireplace otherwise the main living area would be so cold. The rooms would be awfully hot and clammy in the summer because they were very cold at night...tried to adjust heat at night but it tends to reset itself. Had to use another comforter to stay warm. Ceiling also drips during a rain storm so be careful not to slip. Wl on wooden floosave your nreef

Amazing place

What a fantastic house with a unique design. Every seat was comfortable. The house was perfectly clean when we arrived. The view out the bay windows was amazing. Everything we needed was well stocked in the house, plenty of blankets, pillows, towels, kitchen supplies, anything we needed was already there. Easily one of our favorite places we've stayed on the beach. The staff found a phone we had left behind and reached out right away so we could make plans to get it back. We will definitely be staying here again.

Coastal Bliss

My family was obsessed with this house and the hosts have truly thought of everything. We were planning our next stay while we still there LOL! This house is something out of a hallmark movie, truly a gem! We can't wait to come back!

Great views!!

This cozy older beach house is very comfortable. Amazing views and a nice gas fireplace to sit by and watch the waves in the winter. We enjoyed the hot tub in the rain.

Phenomenal accommodations with unbeatable views!

My extended family and I enjoyed a terrific 5-day stay over the Thanksgiving holiday. We were all amazed by the views from the living and dining rooms and at how well equipped the kitchen for a rental. Everything we needed for a full traditional Thanksgiving dinner was there! The place has a great cohesive, cozy ambiance with the beach-facing deck, hot tub, and private beach access as highlights. The one slight issue was that the heating was a little hard to control at night which I'm guessing is due to the house layout and age of the HVAC system, but it was manageable. We would definitely stay again and recommend this house with two thumbs up!

5time return trip

We have stayed here 5 times over the last few years. There have been changes made to enhance this property every time we have returned. Would love to have additional refrigerator space as we have a large group that loves to cook. Have to improvise and use coolers To quote General McArthur, "We will return"

Fantastic spot!

The property was amazing, the in person appearance was same as pictured in VRBO. Plenty of space to move about and places for everyone to sit inside and out. Only drawback was the exterior stairs to the beach were covered in greenery, and unless you count the couch, it sleeps 9.

Was clean but very dusty mold by small window by south bedroom. But we would stay again. We a little picky because we have cleaned motels and rental and private residence. But great experience. Special Memories

The home was perfect for 4 adults and two small children for a five-day stay. The kitchen was well stocked and the living room was spacious. All bedrooms were comfortable. Beach access from the backyard was very handy. It was great staying in an oceanfront character beach house. Thanks to the owners for sharing their home.

Lovely beachfront rental

Easy check in. Well stocked kitchen. Loved being steps from the ocean. Small, but relaxing hot tub. Comfy bed and loved the Japanese bidets. Would definitely stay here again.
