Experience the stunning panoramic views of the mountains from the comfort of a spacious and luxurious 4-bedroom home. Oakridge Retreat is the perfect location for large family gatherings or a peaceful vacation with friends. Relax on the stone patio, in the hot tub, or by the firepit with a glass of wine or book. Family-friendly with gourmet kitchen and fast Wi-Fi. Just 12 mins to Lexington with easy access to the colleges VMI, Washington & Lee, and SVU, Blue Ridge Pkwy, wineries, and breweries!

Located in a peaceful subdivision just 12 minutes from Lexington, this house offers unbeatable mountain views on a 2.4-acre lot. Not only is it conveniently located near all the colleges, including VMI, SVU, and Washington & Lee, but it`s also close to Natural Bridge and the Horse Center.

The private master suite boasts a King bed, dresser, wardrobe, vanity, and a living space nook, all with mesmerizing sunset and sunrise mountain views. The spacious bathroom comes with a double vanity and a large soaker tub.

This well-appointed home has everything you need for a comfortable stay, including ample room for guests to spread out and relax. The kitchen is an open floor plan with a large dining area and table, as well as a living room nook. It comes fully stocked with pots, pans, utensils, crock pot, microwave, toaster, waffle maker, coffee maker, plates, silverware, bakeware, and wine glasses. Barware and bar supplies are also provided, along with coffee, tea, and sugar.

The outdoor space is equally impressive, featuring a screened-in porch, a large deck, and a 1,000 square foot custom stone patio with a fire pit, a 6-person hot tub, and a propane grill. The patio has a walkout bonus room access with a large TV, sound system, grilling supplies, dishes, and a mini bar/kitchenette for entertaining.

For those who need to get work done, there is a small private office with a window, a desk with a monitor, keyboard and mouse, along with a mousepad, pens, calculator, and a comfortable desk chair.

This is also a very family-friendly home with a ground-level basement 4th bedroom that sleeps 4. The space includes a comfortable couch and a Loft combination twin and double bed, as well as another twin day bed. A half bath is also part of this bedroom space, making it perfect for teens or older children. Adjacent to this 4th bedroom is a connecting Playroom nook with a craft table, art easel, and is well-stocked with toys!

Additionally, the house has an upstairs bedroom equipped with a full-sized wood crib, a wood toddler bed, rocking chair, and changing table. The house also provides a huge swing-set and treehouse, highchair, step stool, baby gates, and outlet covers for safety.

Guests will have complete privacy and access to the entire home and its 2.4-acre lot. Rest assured that no one will ever be sharing the space and property while guests are in the home.

However, it is important to note that they should stay within the property borders and avoid exploring the wooded areas or the neighbors` yards.

The house is located in a peaceful subdivision neighborhood with only four other homes in close proximity to each other. This means that guests will have neighbors nearby.

If you are looking for a smaller space for a `couples` getaway or a trip with 2-4 friends, we recommend checking out our `The Cottage at Oakridge Retreat` listing on the first level of the house. These listings will NEVER be booked at the same time to ensure guests have 100% privacy.

We do not live on the property, but we have a local team who can provide assistance as necessary.

We will not interfere with our guests` visit but can always be reached by message, email, or phone. Airbnb app is our preferred communication.

Oakridge Retreat is located in a quiet subdivision conveniently located minutes from Lexington. It is in a rural area but the house is in a neighborhood with expansive lots but houses are visible to one another.

The views of the Blue Ridge Mountains cannot be beat! Hiking trails, outdoor adventure and gorgeous drives in every direction. The home is the perfect landing pad for VMI, W&L and SVU alumni or parents. We love venturing into Lexington for a great meal or to catch live music at Lime Kiln Theatre.

We recommend bringing your own vehicle for getting around the larger area, as Lexington does not currently have an active taxi or cab service.

We are a 15 minute drive to downtown Lexington, a 15 minute drive to the VA Horse Center, and a 20 minute drive to Natural Bridge.

Note: The Blue Ridge Parkway is closed whenever there is ice or snow as it is not scraped or treated by the highway department. If GPS routes you this way, check to make sure it is open before setting out for travel.

Rockbridge County has a required 10% lodging tax added onto your nightly rate. The State of Virginia has a required 5.5% tax added onto your nightly rate.

This is a quiet residential, family neighborhood.

Please slow down when coming and going to the house. Speed limit on gravel roads and the driveways is 10 mph.

No parties please and there is a neighborhood requirement for all noise and fires to end by 11pm.

Wi-Fi is a Verizon LTE router with speed test of 20 mbps. This can support Virtual work meetings and streaming on multiple devices. There will be variations in the speed during different times of the day. This is a data limited plan so no downloading games or movies please but streaming works 100%.

Cell service is reliable with Verizon and other major carriers, but a previous guest with T-mobile said they did not have good reception.
