Convenient, quiet location. A bit dated.
We had a good time in Lewes.
In the interest of accuracy, I would say the description for this property is a bit incorrect. I would not have called what we had as updated furnishings, so maybe the listing itself has not been updated in a while. The carpet was stained in some traffic areas, but the carpet had been vacuumed. Guessing older carpet, because there also were pock marks along the sliding glass doors. We did not use these, because they were heavy, had loose handles, and were stiff to close. We used the door off the dining room to access the porch deck, which was nice in the morning.
The washer and dryer were easily 20+ years old (probably older) - with dials - so hardly new. As a matter of fact, the oven (very worn cook top) and dishwasher were older as well. White appliances that are slightly beige in spots are old appliances.
The master bathroom mirror was missing a mounting tab, so was crooked and laying against the side wall which kept it from falling to the floor. The master bath shower faucet seemed like it hadn't been used in a while; it was very stiff, and one guest could not get the water to come out, requiring assistance. It took about two minutes to get the water on, with the control feeling very loose.
A previous reviewer rated this all 10s; I am not sure what could have changed in less than a month. Finally, the listing indicates that there is a fitness center; from a prior stay we knew there was a pool. Unfortunately, a fire damaged the center.
