"I loved the old fashioned decor and the place was very clean and tidy. The breakfast was really nice and there was flexibility within a time frame for when to be served. Just a heads up, there was a small sink in the room but the bathroom and shower was per floor and there was no TV if those are priorities for you. We didn't mind at all but others may find those two things a bit of a put off."

"The room was spotless and classy with some local chips and water in the rooms. Excellent for our small dog with amazing views and walking paths. I would also recommend a local breakfast spot Ames Street Cafe. We talked with another guest and we both enjoyed the home made local food. The rapids right next to the hotel was fantastic for wildlife and cool scenery. Short walk see the Elk River to flow into the east bay. It would be a great opportunity for a summer stay if you can get a boat slip....

" The Lodge has had a major renovation so the material condition of the entire facility was like new. Off-season and mid-week, it was very quiet. Minimal staff was pleasant and efficient. Did not visit the casino. No dining facility in the Lodge. Convenient to restaurants."

"We love this motel! We've stayed here twice and will be back. The location is excellent. Easy to get to everything. The room is adorable and clean. We bring our dog with us and they provided a water bowl and treats! Highly recommend! "

"The facility is right on the bay with great views. Excellent hotel. We didn't eat at the hotel, but the restaurant options and menus looked very good. The location is perfect to walk through downtown with many dining options within a 15 minute walk. Our only complaints are that valet parking is the only option available and our room didn't get cleaned during our stay (we didn't complain, but it would have been nice to have fresh soap and towels)."

Although we initially had trouble accessing the unit due to unclear instructions, once we got in, everything was fantastic. We truly appreciated the peaceful atmosphere and thoughtful touches throughout. We’re definitely planning to come back! "
