"Fantastic stay between Bath & Stonehenge. Surrounding towns provide tonnes of history, monuments and pleasant hills.
Great carpark and good showers. It was an unusual hot night and the room had a fan!!! Great staff, I recommend."

"The staff were extremely helpful when we suffered a bad experience with our food on our first night's stay. Stick to the basic meals on the menu, like the burgers and fish and chips!
We booked a bed, breakfast and evening meal deal for 2 nights, to celebrate our wedding anniversary, but, on reflection, should have booked everything separately, because we would be over £100 better off!! Apart from being placed at the worst, and least private, table in the restaurant, we only had a limited menu...

"Een mooie locatie in een historisch pand. Maar kamers zijn modern en comfortabel ingericht. Ruime kamer, voldoende ruimte voor bagage. Nette schone badkamer.
Heerlijk a la carte ontbijt. Diner was ook heerlijk. Geen doorsnee pubfood, maar een mooie menukaart. Gezellig dorpsterras buiten.
Kamer heeft geen airco, als het erg warm is kan dit een punt van aandacht zijn."

We did a spa morning whilst there and the massage was really good
Also the restaurant was great with delicious food and a great setting especially sitting outside in the nice weather"

"Everything was lovely, especially the staff! In the middle of a heatwave, AC would have been nice but that’s Mother Natures fault. Food was excellent, parking was easy and the surroundings were beautiful! I definitely recommend for a taste of old world charm."

"My room was up a flight of not very well light stairs causing me to miss the last step it was above the bar and entertainment room, live music started 9PM and finished 11PM fine until more music started, at 11.50PM I rang down to see how long it will last, I was told 10mins, never happened, I rang at 1.10AM to ask again, someone hung up on me then finally it stopped.
In the room Breakfast was advertised from 8AM never started until 8.30 as I had a ferry to catch in Poole it was all a mad...

"The staff were very friendly, and made us feel at home! The room was cozy and the view was beautiful, though the road outside was rather noisy, but it dies down after dark. I was hooked on the Cotswold Stout while we were there, and the town absolutely won our hearts! Highly recommended The Bear if you're around Marlborough!"

"Fantastic stay in a beautiful village right on the edge of the Cotswold. The entire place was really lovely, including the staff - I actually booked for the wrong date but they quickly fixed everything and was able to adjust. Rooms was excellent, very comfortable and beautifully decorated, I also had dinner in the garden and the food was delicious. Added bonus that the village is where some of Downton Abbey scenes were filmed so that was fun!"
