"Photos can not capture the beautiful scenery at the villa. You are surrounded by nature and the view of the Northern Lights surrounds the area when they are dancing. Our teens, young adults, middle-aged, and senior family members were all able to enjoy the spacious layout. Travel to local sights is easy and worth it in order to be in the tranquil quiet by the lake. I highly recommend staying here. The owners are wonderful hosts."

"Staff is lovely. Very picturesque setting. Ice cream was delicious especially the licorice flavor. Neighbors were noisy but once they finally settled in after midnight we had a good sleep. Cute farm dog. Chubby lab will take your food if you leave it outside by the door to keep cool. 😉 "

"We really loved this place. It is in the middle of nowhere - but everything in Iceland kind of is. It was so peaceful here. The cottage was bigger than i imagined. The kitchen has basics like salt/pepper/oil. Close to the famous golden circle destinations so you get an early start in the loop before the rest of the tourists join in."

"Basic utilitarian hotel with a good breakfast. Line up for morning coffee was a mild annoyance but more than made up for by the breakfast. Room was basic, clean and comfortable. No frills save the bath robes and slippers. Location was excellent for a multi day visit to the golden circle. Our stay included some vouchers for the wine bar at the green houses that neighbor the hotel. Well worth a visit. I would return again when touring the area. "

"The is a charm to the property and the dining experience. The dogs and cat were a plus for our animal loving family. We initially reserved for 2 nights but had a change in flights and could only stay one night. While we knew it was non-refundable, there was no communication from the staff despite our messaging them ahead of time."

"It was really a magical experience! The woods were like an old European forest and provided plenty of privacy. There was a short hike to get to the bubble though so pack light. We did have a problem where the heat went out, and it was unable to be fixed until the next morning. That really put a damper on my wife's stay, but the hosts were gracious and allowed a partial refund. "
