First Off-Grid Geodesic Dome in Nevada!

Get out of the city and enjoy the peace and quiet of nature when you stay in this unique place. Local Deer and fox roaming the area if you are lucky to see them. Wake up to a gorgeous mountain/valley view , BBQ during the day and enjoy smore's with the firepit at night. Miles of hiking right off the property and in the surrounding areas. Lots of local dirt bike, side by side riders in the area as well, and horse back riding!

If your a plant enthusiast like me, you will have fun scoping out all the natural medicinal herbs naturally growing in the area, i.e. sage, mullein, brigham tea, and many more!

Enjoy the entire valley with the view and privacy up on the hillside. Some neighbors across the street in a container home and tent rentals about a half mile away.

This is an outdoor off grid Glamping experience! Bring items you would normally bring camping (DRY CAMPING), but you have the luxury of having shelter, bed, sofa bed, refrigerator/ freezer, propane grill, propane stove, well water provided, and ability to have camp fire as the dome is located on private land not Forest land. Wifi is provided complimentary and as a luxury. Wifi is supported by Starlink and works about 85% of the time due to its remote location and weather conditions.

Disclaimer: Please do not follow any maps/ or GPS coordinates given by the rental/booking site. THERE IS NO ADDRESS. Please only use instructions provided to you by the host so that you do not get lost. 4-wheel drive highly recommended as it is off-road/ off-grid driving... You will be required to drive a vehicle with at least a 5 inch clearance above the ground so that you may be able to drive over the rocks without damaging your vehicle. The off road portion (the last 4.5 miles) ride is very bumpy, off road- means no pavement/ no gravel. You are off-roading in the mountains friends! Please keep in mind that there is no refund or cancellation policy if you decide to opt out of using a 4WD or vehicle that does not have the 5inch clearance.

The area is beautiful, but the dome itself was very disappointing. During the first 10 minutes that we were there, I fell through the deck. The owner responded that they've been meaning to fix it for a while. Luckily, I wasn't hurt, but someone easily could have been. I rented the dome because of the amenities that it "offered". There is no coffee maker. There is a Keurig but no pods. We did not know it was a Keurig, so we didn't bring any. The grill did not work. The propane valve is broken because it didn't stop hissing. We decided to give up since mice nested in it anyway. There was a camping stove that we used, but we had brought everything to grill, so that was disappointing. There weren't really kitchen utensils, as there were no knives and only grilling utensils, which was a problem since we had to cook on a camp stove. The photos show spices, so I didn't bring any. All but two were rancid and smelled of plastic. Out of curiosity, I looked at the date on the creamer, and it is so out of date that someone could get really sick. The fridge doesn't work. There is a cooler, but we didn't know to bring extra ice. The sink just dumps onto the ground, and there isn't a way to camp wash dishes, so nothing was actually clean. There is a high cleaning fee, but there is mouse poop EVERYWHERE. So much so that it wasn't just cleaned up the day before. We had to clean poop off the bed and couch before we used them. Some mouse poop I get, but everything is covered.

Communication with the owner was easy. The property was amazing and is one of the best off grid locations my wife and I have been to. 10 out of 10!

Solitude Off the Grid

We loved it and would definitely go back. We enjoyed the solitude of the location- very private and quiet. The dome was unique, well insulated and very sturdy, even with 15 mph winds. The bed is super comfy. We enjoyed hiking in the surrounding hills, the views are very nice. She's not kidding when she says you need a truck or high SUV to get in there. I would highly recommend a 4x4 with plenty of ground clearance. These are not complaints, but the only things I wish had been a little different were: 1) it would have been nice if the clear panels would have been clearer/cleaner to be able to see through them better, 2) when we were there, the outdoor "shower" was a wood platform with a bladder for water, but no wall or curtain 😬, and could be seen from the road (which is not busy, but...lol). 3) The picnic table was in need of repair, and couldn't be used, but it was the end of the season. I'm sure it will be good to go for next year. 4) Ask questions before going to make sure you know exactly what is onsite for use so you'll know what you need to take. There is a small cook stove, but it needed a small propane bottle. We didn't have one. You want to make sure you have everything you need before going in. If you're looking for a cozy, little, dark sky getaway in the wilderness, this place is perfect! We enjoyed it very much!

Great Off Grid Getaway!

I was hoping for a working getaway since there is WiFi available. My type of work requires high-speed/bandwidth internet, so I was unable to effectively work. BUT the dome and host are just what the doctor ordered for a wind-down. I plan to be back!

Peaceful

The “dome home” as we called it was adorable! It was just as described. Clean and comfortable. It was very peaceful and the area was beautiful. The road getting there is a bit rough so you just have to take it slow and have the proper vehicle. We had a great stay. Thank you!
