This place is amazing! The house is huge - plenty of space for 3 families. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. We did not use the indoor lap pool, but the sauna was a hit. S’mores in the evening around the fire pit was a favorite. The resort amenities were wonderful and having the ability to take a short walk across the golf course to get there was a plus. We took advantage of the golf cart, although it wasn’t a necessity. Our hosts were great- quick to respond and helpful. We hope to return next year!

This is a beautiful property, and the hosts are fantastic! The communication was excellent, and we had space for everyone. The size of the home allows everyone to have their own space and it had all you need for comfort during your stay. I wish we had time to stay longer but must get back to work. Hopefully, we will get to visit again soon. Thank you again for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful home. I highly recommend.

Excellent!

Graciano hosted our annual golf trip for 12 gentlemen. Everything was exactly as described and accommodated our group well. No negatives whatsoever. Luckily we were able to have an early check-in prior to our afternoon golf on day of arrival - much appreciated! Thank you and we hope to return some day.

Plenty of space and easy access to amenities

Everybody wants to go back next year. (I guess that is the best review) The owners QUICKLY responded to any questions, and made things as easy as possible. They were great to work with, and very accommodating. The home is LARGE with plenty of bedroom areas and multiple gathering areas. Sheets and towels were included. The home includes a lap pool and large exercise room and sauna, a hot tub outside, ping pong and foosball tables, kayaks that can be used at the lake, etc. We also rented their golf cart which was great for riding around the VERY scenic golf course that the home is at. We also used it to get to the entrance of the 3.5 mile hiking trail that goes through the nearby mountains. The home is also a one-minute walk away from the lazy river, swimming pool, putt-putt golf, wellness center with indoor pool, tennis and basketball courts, lake beach and pontoon boats (and the home comes with 12 passes to be able to use them). The walking distance to these items was a HUGE plus. The home has ample parking, and does NOT have the steep driveways we saw on some of the other homes. It is also about 15 minutes away from the grocery store, and about 25 minutes from Chimney Rock, and the souvenir shopping at the bottom of the mountain.

Great Vacation Spot

Our family came together to celebrate the 80th birthdays of my husband and me. There were 15 in our family, but we rented a nearby condo for 3 adult grandsons. Also celebrated two college graduations of granddaughters. The house was great and had everything we needed and more! Lots of space for eating, visiting, and games! The day before leaving I discovered the BEST bathroom cabinet ever...with multiple mirrors. Wish I had one at home! First time at Rumbling Bald...we thought it was perfect! Not too large and very relaxing! Ping pong, golf, mini golf, tennis and pickle ball, kayaking, and much more. A great spot for families! Graciano was very welcoming and helpful with any questions we had...Thanks!!!

Togetherness & Privacy for Families/Groups of Friends

This is a great set-up for families or friends staying together that would also like some separate space for their group/themselves as well. The house is definitely built/setup that way with certain amenities in each section. The upstairs sunroom opening to the upper level deck was a favorite spot. House is definitely in a beautiful location with lovely views of the golf course & wooded areas. Kitchen dinnerware/cookware stocked well. And the beds we used were comfortable. The kitchen itself had a refrigerator only, but there's a chest freezer in pantry around corner from kitchen. It worked for us as it gave us more refrigerator space for all our food. You do need to bring your own bagged ice. I believe this property recently made available for rental, so that may be why a few things were in need of TLC & hopefully plans to address - broken dryer handle (challenging to open), kitchen sink disposer not working, indoor pool not working/available (access to this pool area that included indoor workout space, sauna & what appeared to be a foosball table was locked & so that entire space, not just the pool, currently not available). Upon entering, noticed a strong chlorine (?) smell in the house. But, it pretty much aired out first day after house opened up a bit. / Think it would also help if there were individual photos of house for rental listing rather than collages of smaller images. / Overall, would recommend this house for families/groups needing space like this.

Multi-Generational Reunion

This is a fantastic property in a fabulous resort that offers something for everyone. We ultimately had four generations that visited during our four day stay. The layout of the house offered the opportunity for togetherness while also offering private areas for rest and reprieve. Plus the lovely grounds, views and Rumbling Bald amenities are perfect for active families and individuals of all ages. The natural beauty of the entire area is undeniably healing to the soul and the proximity to Chimney Rock village is also highly appealing. Lastly, a shout out to our host, Graciano, who was very accommodating and accessible. We will definitely rent this property again in the near future. I just hope it will be available after reviews like this one.
