Welcome to Maui Sands #6E. Just steps from the ocean with garden views in Honokowai. This second floor condo is on the corner of the building where you can find a peek-a-boo view of the ocean. There are stairs to the entrance, but no elevators. A window air conditioning unit in the living room keeps you cool. One parking stall is assigned to unit.

“We enjoyed our stay at the Maui Sands. It is a quieter, smaller complex. Our unit was on the end nearest the pool and had a lot of palms growing around the balcony. That helped to make it feel private. The condo has two beach chairs, a hair dryer, and a blender which we used. We were able to keep the condo cool using the windows and ceiling fans. We didn't use the air conditioning. The main room is large and has a day bed. The small bedroom is warmer (on the south side of the building). In all, we enjoyed our stay and had a great experience. Chase N Rainbows was easy to work with and even accommodated a last minute change.”

Additional Details from the Resident Manager and AOAO dated 1/6/19 and updated 3/19/19:
Seawall repair work will begin on the south side (building 5) - of the property (Oceanside).

We just received a notice that the seawall repair work will be starting on April 15, 2019. It is supposed to take about 8 months.
If all goes well, the contractor will be working Mondays through Fridays during the work day. Because the tides and weather are iffy, there will most likely be days that they are not working.
•Construction will start at the south end of building 5.
•Guests WILL have access to grills (Except Maui Seaside #717).
•There is a temporary observation deck which you will have access to, and stairs on the north side of building 4 which may require a bit of a walk around the construction staging area.
•There WILL be ocean access during working hours.

Tranquilidade e paz, com o mar à sua porta.

O imóvel é amplo, localização privilegiada (para quem prefere mais sossego e menos badalação), acesso perfeito ao mar por meio de uma passarela/jardim, lugar ideal para amanhecer o dia ou curtir um lindo por -do-sol. A acomodação não é tão nova e poderia estar melhor cuidada, mas as oportunidades de melhoria em nada chegaram a comprometer os dias maravilhosos que vivemos aqui. Detalhe importante é estar com carro alugado (necessariamente), pois apesar de ter tudo que se precise a curta distância, o fato de estar a noroeste da ilha, faz com que fique um pouco mais distante das principais atrações. Voltariamos, com certeza. Recomendamos!

Infested in cockroaches

We stayed in the property for less than one hour and were forced to find accomodations elsewhere in the middle of the night after realizing that the kitchen and part of the living room area were infested in cockroaches. Tried to reach the afterhours line, but after being asked why we called, we never received further responses. While staying at an outdated unit was dealable with, the condition of the unit was unsanitary.

Algunos detalles sobre la limpieza de los trastes y una mala experiencia con el parking lot porque la gente de limpieza olvidó dejar el formulario de registro. Aparte de eso, todo bien, Ubicación, orden general, respuesta a nuestras consultas, etc. etc. El lugar es ameno y ambientado de acuerdo a la zona donde se encuentra (tropical). Recomendable

Super stay!

We experienced a lovely stay that exceeded our expectations. Quiet and lush surroundings with a good location near a park, food truck, shopping for necessities and snorkeling equipment at nearby Boss Frog. Comfortable and well-equipped. Nice pool. Well-kept grounds, Great value!

COVID clean?

Unit was ready on time but the glass dining table, coffee table, bathroom mirror and sliding glass doors were dirty. Dining room table still had food on it and the bathroom floor had hair on it. There were instruction to complete a form for parking and drop off at managers office, no form in unit. Call Chasing Rainbow Mgmt regarding the above with no response. Love Maui Sands Condo's but not this unit and not this managment company.

Nice condo

This condo was perfect in many respects. It was clean and well equipped. It was a short drive to Lahaina and everything was very easy. You need to register your car with the property manager and get a permit. I tried to do this 4 times and the manager was never in. I left the form in his drop box but still got a nasty little note about filling in the form and registering. I gave low marks for the management and that's why. Everything else was perfect.

Maui Sands Stay

Maui Sands was a great rental while my boyfriend and I were vacationing. It had everything we needed and was a very spacious unit. The complex also had a beautiful view of the water. Would definitely recommend for your stay in Maui!

Great stay

Very clean and comfortable. Everything you’d need in the kitchen. The lush garden view from the large deck was wonderful - you can see the sunrise over the mountains from the east end and a little view of the ocean from the west end - short walk through the garden area to the water!

This was a great spot to chill for a long weekend in Maui. The property has a sea wall and no beach, but there is a park right up the road that has access. The pool was great and the neighborhood is quiet. Lots of little places to eat within walking distance and a fun food truck park with lots of food options.

First trip to Hawai

This is my first time renting with vrbo, and the property was clean as mentioned and as described. This property was conveniently located next to a store and food truck stall at walkable distance. We loved our stay and had very good memories.

My wife and I are on our honeymoon at 75 years of age. A lovely suite in a quiet l75 years of age.

The unit was even better than expected. The photos were accurate. We had a lovely stay. we would love to come back when the covid is over.

Great Location!

Our condo at Maui Sands was perfect for our needs during our week on the island. The kitchen was stocked with everything that we needed. The lanai had a pretty garden view, several chairs and a rack for drying wet swimsuits. The king size bed was super comfy and the twin bed in living area was good. Good supply of paper goods, towels were good. We took our own beach towels. Check in and out was easy; parking spot right below the condo. Basic pool but very clean. The Maui Sands beach is not really a swimming beach but a pretty place to sit and take in the beauty. There were plenty of chaise lounge chairs out under the palms by the beach. The place is older, but has the old Hawaii feel to it. Good shopping and eating options very close by. We enjoyed our stay there but was only at the condo to sleep for the most part.
