The small things

Overall the condo was well kept. It is older and you can tell but it is kept in decent shape. The location for walking along Front St is optimal. Walking out of the building and having the beach steps away is amazing. The price is amazing. The pool was over chlorinated which was not great but we were in the ocean and at the beach most of the time. No bar or restaurant at the condo was strange but all within walking distance. Things I would recommend for future tenants or for the owners: -4 forks is just not enough, and all the other cooking utensils are in sad shape. - It would be nice to have a vacuum in the room (we were there for 10 days) -Toilet paper and paper towels. Again staying 10 days a few more rolls would have been nice. -Future tenants, bring or be prepared to buy decent beach chairs, umbrella and ice chest. MOST IMPORTANT- When you close the refrigerator, no matter how softly, the freezer door pops open; so be aware of this.

Nice amenities, kitchen and bath. Carpet needs some help! Soiled and stained. Concerned about no smoke detector! Overall it was a great building in a good location. Nice staff.

Maintenance was very slow. Broken Dishwasher. Reported bet not fixed. No stopper for kitchen sink. Had to leave dirty dishes. “Beautiful Mountain View’s” was overlooking parking lot with mountain in distance. Would not stay again.

Lahaina Shores 532

Fantastic location, smaller property that never seemed too busy or loud. Very clean but could use a little love as it’s a bit dated. Loved the full kitchen and proximity to Betty’s Cafe and Spanky’s bar. Would stay again.

Love this location!

We had stayed at this resort the year before and loved it, but the same room we had wasn’t available so we chose this one. Everything about the property is wonderful - amazing beach front, great pool, perfect location. This room was good - I don’t have many complaints other than I wish it wasn’t set up so much like a “hotel” and more of like other Vrbo rooms I’ve had where there are supplies there. There were absolutely no beach gear (chairs, towels, snorkel gear, etc). This was the first Vrbo property I’ve stayed at that did not have these things. Other than that, the place was good!

The room appears as though it has only been superficially cleaned for a very long time (items from previous guests, coffee grounds still in coffee maker, hair everywhere, vents were furry with dust - I wiped some of them down). We tried contacting the unit's property manager, but they never responded. Had it not been for the lack of cleanliness, the room is alright. It is in a nice hotel with friendly front desk staff, conveniently located to everything Lahaina has to offer, and the beach in front of the hotel is nice. We would stay at the same hotel again, but not in the same room.

Overall, not bad. Definitely not the cleanest place but we had clorox wipes to clean up. I sent and email and left a voicemail and had to call again for information. I checked out on Monday, today is Thursday and I still don't have answers.

Great location close to everything.

The building is a little tired which could explain why the water was shut off for a bit, the power went out for a bit, and the internet and TV signal were spotty, but some of that could be due to mother nature. Wasn’t expecting new but could have been cleaner.

Good once cleaned but dirty when we arrived

Our room was still dirty from the previous vacationers when we arrived after checking in so had to wait for them to clean the room before settling in. Also, they forgot the beach towels that we rented and that took about two days for them to get to us. Once we had everything though, it was a great place to stay. And our friends that stayed in the same place had no problems.

Great space & clean. Communication was difficult w/ a non caring company called Chase & Rainbows. We had trouble w/ our chk-in & more tho' those working at front desk did best they could. Private owners running an STVR do a much better job.

Nice place, but no beach towels??

This was a nice room: good size, full kitchen, big bathroom, great views. Parking was super close, staff friendly. My only issue was that the Property Manager did not provide beach towels for guest use... Per management instructions you have to actually call ahead to request towels for your room AND you have to pay for them...quite ridiculous for a beach resort on a tropical island. The towels were not in our room when we arrived and we emailed management on the first day. We received a response quickly that towels would be delivered same day. We never received the towels and after following up again, the next day we still didn't have towels and the day after that nothing, and we had to checkout. We had an entire stay there with no beach towels. And after contacting property management after the trip to receive a refund, I received no response. It should not require this much effort to get beach towels...if there is a concern that people will steal them, just charge extra if they are not left in the room, it's a very simple fix.

Comfortable and convenient

We did not rent a car. We walked into town and found many restaurants, and points of interest, such as the harbor and banyan tree. We were also able to book excursions with the concierge.

Chasing Rainbows terrible

Got in 11pm. No one aware, ?? Security not aware, doors locked. Got room but no key so I we couldn't leave room. Paid for beach towels, not there. Called 3 or 4 times finally got beach towels around noon. No way to exchange for clean ones, stayed 2 weeks. No clean linens or offer to change them. Most people change linens at least once a week. Not enough toilet paper. Chasing rainbows sucks, and I would not recommend them to manage anyones property. Love the property, stayed here before. Hope to return and book with more professional company.

Clean, perfect location on Front street. Mountain views on 5th floor, beach access. Walkable to restaurants, ships, and bars. Cooler, kitchen utensils and appliances were stocked. We are very happy with our stay.

Great unit, will definitely come back!!

Lahaina Shores was a wonderful place to stay and we look forward to coming back! The property as a whole was beautiful and clean. The pool was certainly used often throughout our stay (we LOVED IT!), the concierge was very helpful, the beach was gorgeous and RIGHT OFF the property, and everything is so conveniently located!! The unit was very well kept and updated. A member of our party has stayed in a variety of units at Lahaina Shores and kept saying how nice this unit was compared to others. The unit was stocked with everything we would need to do dishes, take care of trash, etc. While there is only a bed for two in the unit one member of our group felt uncomfortable sharing a bed so she slept on the couch. She said the couch was comfortable, so if someone in your group does not want to share a bed don’t fret! All in all this unit was a great fit for us and made our vacation that much more fun! We would definitely recommend this unit, and the entire Lahaina Shores property, to others!

Great Lahaina location!

The only reason we gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is the carpet needs to go. A tile floor or some option other than carpet would be so much cleaner and better, Other than that, the apartment is fully equipped with enough of everything. We appreciated having lots of bath towels and enough toilet paper etc. It was a great place to stay.
