"Caravan is lovely and comfortable, though can be noisy in stormy weather, though otherwise it's a quiet location. Drive is quite steep for parking. Fantastic views over Loch Long. Access drive is a single road, is quite steep in places and it can be tricky to find the caravan."

"My wife and I had a decent stay at the Royal Marine, though it was a bit of a mixed bag. The building looks magnificent, and although a little tired, has fantastic potential with some TLC. Our room was spotless, and we enjoyed paying extra for the sea view; watching the ferry terminal activity was actually quite relaxing. "One thing that stood out was how friendly the staff were, the reception, restaurant and housekeeping staff always greeted you with a smile and a chat. Room was clean on arrival so no complaints there. Only downsides was that the rooms are on the small side, not much room to move about in, also, being wakened up in the early hours by a delivery vehicle right outside our window wasn’t ideal. Overall, an enjoyable stay and wouldn’t hesitate to book again but would request a loch view room next...
