Villa with pool just a few minutes' walk from the beach and the Old Port

The location of this typical Rochelle house is exceptional: a few steps from the beach and the seafront, the old port, rue St Jean and its restaurants, the casino. On the edge of the park, in a quiet area of beautiful mansions, 200 m. from the promenade du Mail.

Park your car for free in the rue Jeanne d´Albret and forget about it. Everything is done on foot: beach, walks by the sea, shopping at the market, city tours, restaurants and bars. If you prefer, you can also go by bike, these are easy to store in the private alley bordering the house: beautiful walks from the casino along the cliffs to the beach of Chef de baie or that of Les Minimes (15 minutes), oyster villages or towards the Ile de Ré (10 minutes by car, 30 minutes by bike, easy trails).
The immediate environment is privileged: street classified as historic monuments, beautiful residences in the surroundings, very popular district, access to parks in 1 min (mini-zoo, playgrounds, rides, mini-golf), pedestrian downtown accessible by 10 mins on foot or a few minutes by bike.

The house was completely renovated in 2017 by an architect and a landscaper. The traditional charm has been preserved, but a refined and contemporary decoration brings it comfort and refinement.
Everything is new, furniture, bedding, appliances, dishes.

The landscaped garden, a real green setting in any season, with its olive tree, cypress and flower beds is not overlooked; the heated swimming pool, the garden furniture and the dining area create a unique holiday atmosphere compared to the situation of the house.

Cleaning is included as well as sheets, towels and kitchen linen. A TV space is available in the attic room, with a large corner sofa for movie nights.

Two fridges are available, one for food (with separate freezer), the other for drinks; Nespresso machine, full kitchen equipment, cocktail kits; bench in the pool; blade of water in the pool; logs for the fireplace provided; very good bedding; outdoor dining area designed to be protected from wind and sun without parasol; mini table tennis table with mini rackets…

Night lighting of the swimming pool, the garden and the terrace.

This rental may not be suitable for young children due to a steep staircase to the room in the attic.

We loved our stay here! The home is in a quiet area near the sea and just a quick 10 minute walk to town. The home is very well equipped with kitchen supplies, towels, sheets, etc. The beds are very comfortable. The outdoor space is lovely.

C'était notre 2eme séjour à la villa et, tout comme la première fois, nous avons été très bien accueillis par Maryelle. La maison, parfaitement bien située en ville, est toujours aussi calme et sa piscine toujours aussi agréable.Et bien sûr nous avons également beaucoup apprécié le message des propriétaires à notre arrivée ! Très belle maison bien placée

Le logement est parfaitement conforme aux photos. Maison avec piscine très agréable et très bien située dans La Rochelle, tout est faisable à pieds ou à vélo. La communication avec les propriétaires puis avec la concierge pour les clés a été très fluide. Nous reviendrons sans aucun doute pour de prochaines vacances !

Fantastic property in a great location

We travelled as a family of 6 and had a fantastic week in August 23. The property is extremely well refurbished and has a fantastic outdoor space. The location is ideal being a 8 - 10 min walk to the marina and old port where are all the restaurants, bars and main shops are. A quieter retreat to get away from the later night hustle and bustle of the main town. Local shop 2 min walk has all the produce you need for the week if you don’t have a car. Old town market is also fantastic and a must. Nicholas the house owner is extremely friendly and expedient in answering any questions. We met Laure on arrival who was so nice and explained everything. We are so grateful for letting us stay in a beautiful house and La Rochelle is also an amazing place with very friendly people and lots to see and do.

Maison confortable, bien aménagée et bien équipée . Un extérieur très agréable et une piscine que nous avons particulièrement appréciée pendant les fortes chaleurs. We absolutely loved this home - it was beautifully arranged and so well kept. There were 5 adults - myself my two sons and their girlfriends- plenty of space to ‘be’ and a fab communal indoor and outdoor space to enable time Together.

Séjour agréable

Maison idéalement placé , petit bémol ,le ménage à l’arrivée n’était parfait mais rien de grave . La maison est vraiment bien équipée tout petit bémol pour notre bébé d’un an pour lequel il n’y avait pas d’équipement ! Nous reviendrons avec plaisir dans cette maison familiale notre bébé sera plus grand et tout sera idéal !!! Le propriétaire est ultra dispo et super réactif. On recommande ++++
