Finn McCool - 200 Feet of Sand Beach just steps away!

Welcome to Finn McCool a place where you can enjoy beach walking, swimming, kayaking, reading, sunning or sharing a meal and a glass of wine.  Located on the “North” end of Madeline Island about a 20-minute drive from the Ferry Dock in downtown La Pointe, Finn McCool is named after the sunken dredge “Finn McCool” lying on the lake bed in front of the cottage shore.  The property features 400 feet of private sugar sand beach along with a fire pit to enjoy the quiet evenings.
Finn McCool is literally 75 feet from the shores of Lake Superior and the cabin features 1 bedroom, a full bath, full kitchen and small living area which overlooks and connects to the lake side deck.  This is a place to leave your computer and to-do list miles away.

Condiments (including salt & pepper, ketchup, mustard, oils etc. - WI Department of Health & Human Services requires all condiments must be removed after each rental)
Additional towels for going to the beach (bath towels provided are for use inside the property not to be taken outside or to the beach)

Great Stay

This place was great. We really enjoyed our stay. The one recommendation I would make - is that it would have been nice to have a little more stocked kitchen and bathroom. We stayed 8 days, and there was only one bath towel each, no salt/pepper/ saran wrap or items to hold leftovers. Would have been a nice addition to have a few more basic amenities in the kitchen. Otherwise, we loved our stay.

Nice Little Getaway

Wonderful experience. We enjoyed being so close to the water and having a fire under a blanket of stars at night. The lake was so intensely rough when we arrived. We enjoyed watching as Lady Superior calmed so beautifully thru the course of our stay.
