DESCRIPTION
The Breakers 3 is named for the crashing surf at the famous Windansea surf break just down the street from this beautifully designed and furnished home. Featuring five bedrooms and two-and-a-half baths, this is a duplex home combined into one large vacation rental, so you get the benefit of multiple kitchens and living areas.

Enter on the ground level through a glass-paned Dutch door into the foyer accented with open-beamed ceilings and hardwood flooring. To the left, you can step down to a family room that features sofa seating, a TV, and a foosball table for fun. To your right two bedrooms, each with queen beds, a full bathroom with a tub/shower and a full-size laundry room,

The second-level living area is open-concept and features vaulted and beamed ceilings, comfortable seating arrangements, a fireplace, and a TV. The adjacent kitchen is nicely appointed and comes with chef’s grade stainless appliances, a breakfast bar, and a dining nook that seats 6. La Cantina-style folding doors bring the outdoors in and open to a view deck with an outdoor dining set and a built-in gas BBQ. The primary bedroom is also on this level and features a king bed, TV and an en suite bath with dual sink vanity and a shower.

The entrance to the 2 bedroom portion is on this level as well, with a chic living room, TV, beachy décor, and comfortable seating. There is another fully equipped kitchen with clean white stone countertops and backsplash along with a stainless-steel appliance package. Dining spaces include a kitchen island/breakfast bar for 4 and a breakfast table for 2.

Step down the hall and there are two bedrooms to choose from; Bedroom 4 features a king bed and TV, and Bedroom 5 comes with 2 twin beds. Each room has a dedicated bathroom; one with a tub/shower and the other with a shower. All beds and bathrooms are ready-made with white hotel-style linens and towels for your comfort.

A spiral staircase leads to the amazing ocean-view rooftop deck. You may find this to be your favorite place in the home, as you can enjoy your morning coffee watching the sun rise over Mt. Soledad to the east and an evening glass of wine as it turns gold over the Pacific Ocean.

Additional amenities include 2 sets of in-home washers and dryers, a beach shower, complimentary Wi-Fi, cable TV, and air conditioning for your comfort in the warmer months.

We enjoyed our stay @ Bluewater in La Jolla! Our group of 10 people and an infant went smoothly and we would certainly come back! Everyone had a comfortable place to rest their heads and the extra apartment attached to the home was a great addition for the older members or our family. The place was clean, as advertised and walking distance to the beach. We did request an early check in that was not granted, and would have appreciated that accommodation. Additionally, our group needed extra sheets for different reasons and we could only find one extra pair in the house. This was mitigated after calling the host on call, but it would have been helpful to have plenty of extra sheets for guest use.
