A great way to see the Kerala backwaters without booking an expensive boat trip - take the ferry from Kollam to Allapphuza. It takes about 7 hours and you'll see the impressive landscape, fishermen doing their work and I also was lucky to spot a kingfisher! #backwaters #Kerala
