  • Our place is a super bright, incredibly clean, excellently appointed oceanfront condo with a view you are sure to love! Literally, a 2 minute walk to the beach! This new rental property will be your "go-to" favorite annual trip location. We really wanted to make sure everyone enjoys our special place as much as we do! Enjoy lazy days on the beach and at the pool, drinks on the deck, and exploring the quaint town of Duck. And BYOC (bring your own charcoal) for a nightly cook out in the courtyard area. So much FUN! We know you'll love Colony by the Sea (CBTS) as much as we do. It's a true gem in the Outer Banks! Ours is a first floor, end unit: no elevator, 2 short flights of stairs (building on pilings). We love to cook and entertain so we have a well-stocked kitchen, including basic spices, EVOO, balsamic vinegar and just about every utensil and baking/cooking tool we could think of. BRING YOUR OWN: paper towels, toilet paper, napkins, towels (bath/beach/dish), sheets, pillows, and blankets. There is a coin laundry room for $2 per load (same for wash or dry) under the building if needed (it is kept very clean). TV sets in living room and bedroom with basic cable and streaming capability. Linen packages available upon request and cost varies based on number of guests/beds to be used.

Excellent accommodations, very clean, well stocked and convenient to all the shops and restaurants. We really enjoyed our morning coffee on the deck facing the ocean. This was our first time to OBX and we will be back. Tracey and David were wonderful hosts.

This was our second time staying here and once again, Tracey was a wonderful host and the condo was perfect for our family vacation! This condo is a great location for couples and small families. We had our toddler and our baby with us, and they loved it! Tracey communicated with us quickly and was very responsive. The kitchen was very well-stocked and made meals much easier, and the new king-sized mattress was so comfy. 10/10 recommend!

The Lucky Duck is a very comfortable, well appointed condo that is conveniently located just a few steps away from a great beach and is within easy walking distance of all the wonderful things to do in the town of Duck, NC. We have stayed there on three occasions and have enjoyed our stay more each time. The host is very helpful and gives great directions on what is needed to begin and end your stay. The accommodations are very clean and comfortable, and all of the features provided are kept in great working order. One could not ask for more in a VRBO rental experience.

The perfect place to spend a couple of days away. The view from the deck was fantastic, the condo was immaculate. We really appreciated how well stocked and organized everything is, even down to the blue folder with all of the information we could ever need! Communication was fantastic, we will definitely be staying here again. Thank you for your hospitality!

Tracey the host was wonderful and responsive, and even left me a lovely surprise as I was there to celebrate my birthday. The condo was clean and bright, and exactly as described. I loved being able to see the sunrise over the beach from inside, and we enjoyed our breakfast on the deck. The beach was a short walk over the dune and we had a great view of the pool.We loved our stay and would 10/10 stay again!

The place was great. Beautiful beach view and easy access to Duck. Biggest drawback, having to bring sheets, quilts, pillows, beach and bath towels, hair dryer and kitchen towel. In all fairness, that was spelled out in the listing but I failed to notice. Added a great deal to our packing.

We really enjoyed our stay. Great location and great hosts! Also appreciated all the recommendations for local restaurants, shops, etc. The kitchen is beautiful and had everything we needed.

Relaxing and Refreshing

The Lucky Duck is clean, comfortable and conveniently located for walks on the beach, boardwalk and into town. The beach is beautiful and was relatively uncrowded the week we went. We had great weather and enjoyed our stay!

Spring Duck Getaway!

My wife and I had a lovely time in Duck and your place was perfect for us. We used the well-stocked kitchen for a few great dinners (fresh fish!). We also enjoyed happy hour on the deck with the ever changing coastal colors. Very convenient to the beach for long walks and close to Duck village. Would definitely stay here again.
