WE ARE BACK! Same great cottage and owner since 2003!

So.....Kick back, relax and enjoy ocean views from your living room, front deck and crow's nest.

This sunny, comfortable cottage is updated every year to make it all new for you! You'll enjoy its bright, open, airy interior with cathedral ceilings and its location - just one street back from the beach road with a direct access (100 yards/300 feet) path straight through to the beach or you can take either cross street for a full cross walk at the beach road. There are no houses built along this stunning stretch of Kitty Hawk coastline.

The cottage also sits on a quiet street that is perfect for walking or biking and is close to some of my favorite Outer Banks restaurants, shops and many other Outer Banks attractions.

Great prices for a 4 bedroom (1K, 1Q, 1D, 2T)/2 bathroom home in a lovely area of Kitty Hawk! RENTS SUN TO SUN IN SEASON. PARTIAL WEEKS AVAILABLE IN OFF SEASON - 3 Night Minimum!

PLEASE NOTE:
Owner provides bed linens and bath towels for a small additional charge if requested in advance of check-in or you may bring your own. The cottage rental does not include beach towels, toiletries, cleaning supplies or unlimited paper products. To get you started we do provide two rolls of toilet paper, a roll of paper towels, two trash bags, two dishwasher tabs, two laundry tabs, a sponge and some dishwasher liquid. Please plan accordingly for longer stays.

The Outer Banks is filled with cottages that offer amenities at all different levels. We do try to be clear about what will be included so please carefully review the information on our VRBO pages before booking to make sure it fits your needs!

Kitty Hawk is a wonderful place to vacation and there are plenty of activities to enjoy in addition to the beautiful beaches:

* Fishing.
* Movie theatre within 2 miles of cottage.
* Nearby Waterpark!
*Several public golf courses.
*Miniature golf.
*Kayak, canoe, windsurfer and jet ski rentals.
*Hang-gliding or kite flying at Jockey's Ridge.
*Surfing.
*Jockey's Ridge National Park - where Wilbur and Orville Wright took the first flight- features a flight museum and one of the highest sand dunes on the East Coast. Enjoy a sunset there!
*Roanoke Island is about 12 miles to the south across the Sound. The town of Manteo has a great aquarium and wonderful little art galleries, shops and cafes as well as the gorgeous Elizabethan Gardens. In the summer there are nightly performances of 'The Lost Colony' about the ill-fated first British settlement in the new world.
*Fine dining or casual local spots close by.
*Ferry trip to Ocracoke. Hour's drive to the dock in Hatteras and then 45 minute ride across. Ferries are free and run frequently in summer. Take a bike and explore the Island.
*Hatteras National Seashore - 75 miles of pristine seashore for fishing, camping, surfing, boating.
*Outlet Shopping.

We spent a few days during Spring Break April 2025 at Outerbanks and stayed in the cozy Cottage. Host was very responsive to initial questions. We brought our pet dogs and we had linens and towels provided for a small fee. The cottage is clean, well equipped kitchen (though we didn't really use it), and convenient to everything. We had a great time there with the family.

Our first impression was that the cottage was spotless and we had very easy access thanks to clear directions! The neighborhood was comfortable and neighbors were very friendly! I think they would have invited us to Thanksgiving dinner had we not made plans. Sharon was very responsive to any concerns. I would stay here again!

This cozy cottage truly lives up to its name! Nestled on a charming street, easily within walking distance to the beach, you will find everything you need here. Whether it be enjoying your morning coffee in the crows nest or settling in on the couch with a good book after a long day in the sun, this is the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of your everyday life and simply recharge. We created some truly special memories with family during this stay and couldn’t be more grateful! Bonus points for the amazing full-time residents along the street that will always greet you with a smile and a wave.

We keep coming back to the Cozy Cottage for our summer vacation. It is like an old friend! It is clean, comfortable, and very close to the beach. There are also many very good restaurants in close proximity.

Had a marvelous time, despite rain from the hurricane. Very convenient to the beach and many attracyin the area. House was nicely done. Only warning is that the king bed is VERy high but a step stool is provided.

We had a great time at Sharon's place - the location is super close to the beach. It might have been the week we chose to stay - but the beach was close to empty until around lunch time - and even then there were not a ton of people - lots of families. The neighborhood was quiet - and there were plenty of sidewalks to walk my dog.

Enjoyed our stay at Sharon's place! She was super communicative and the property is very well kept. Perfect location with a very short walk (1 block) to the beach and parking near multiple beach accesses should you decide to drive a vehicle down so you don't have to walk back to the house when done for the day. The very few questions we had were addressed quickly and to our satisfaction. One thing I really enjoyed personally was that this stretch of neighborhood has sidewalks for a few blocks north which made it super easy to walk our puppy multiple times a day. Already thinking about staying at this home again next year!

Our family had a great time at the Cozy Cottage! Sharon was an excellent host, responsive and helpful! The home was clean upon arrival with easy to enter instructions. We had a short walk to the beach which we did every day. The street is quiet and we biked on it often. Super close to plenty of things for groceries, eating out, and entertainment! We had 2 babies, a 10 yr old and 6 adults and it was perfect for us! Would definitely recommend!

Location of this house was amazing! Easiest walk to the beach ever and beautiful views of the ocean from decks. The layout Of the house was spacious and cozy and it was very clean. Neighborhood also felt very safe. I would definitely recommend this house for a stay.

Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, the home was spacious and clean with all the necessary amenities and a very short walk to the beach made it the perfect getaway from the city. The home was in close proximity to all the various bars, restaurants, shopping, and other attractions in OBX. Would love to stay again. Highly recommend.

The cozy cottage was perfect for our short visit to Kitty Hawk. It was clean, comfortable, well equipped, with interesting art, and it was close to the beach and dining. The crows nest is quite nice. There was a bit of confusion regarding whether linens were provided - they only are for a fee and in advance. Luckily we brought some. Also, the house does have an outside shower, not listed in amenities but definitely a plus. The corn hole under the house is fun and provides a nice break from the sun. Definitively a fun stay!
