"The owners have done a lovely job furnishing the property. It's near the Westside of Lake Taupo. Great fishing and very nice beach, but there a couple of issues. The property lacks internet! It's the 21st century, not having internet is like not having indoor plumbing or electricity. Without the internet, there's no smart TV. The owners told me (after I checked-in) that they didn't realize it was important, and that people could use their cell phones. I'm an international traveler, and don't...

"Our party of 12 had a great stay at Tessa property. Location was perfect for what we wanted (kids had a ball riding their bikes around the nice quite cul-de-sac, river/local cafe/playground within nice walking distance). House was well stocked w everything we needed & had plenty of room for everyone (kids loved all staying together in the big bunk room). Brazier was a nice touch for some mid-winter cheer. Tessa was a very responsive & accommodating host."

"The cottage was as expected and the lake access was wonderful.Unfortunately the windows were all locked and there was no key to be found. Despite calling the owner who responded very quickly assuring us someone would be round the next day to unlock them, the windows remained locked for our whole stay. Not ideal :("
