Keswick boasts a wealth of attractions including the Theatre by the Lake, the Derwent Pencil Museum, Puzzling Place and Keswick Adventure Centre. The northern edge of Derwentwater is just half a mile away, offering opportunities for canoeing, boat trips and peaceful lakeside strolls. More experienced walkers can attempt the fells and mountains of Latrigg (2.5 miles), Blencathra (7 miles) and Skiddaw (6.5 miles). Other attractions include the ancient Castlerigg Stone Circle (2 miles), Bassenthwaite Lake (5 miles) and Honister Slate Mine (8.5 miles), with Buttermere (10.5 miles) and Crummock Water (11 miles) just a little further afield.

You will also find the first bedroom downstairs: a fresh and charming twin room which can be made up as a king-size on prior request. There’s also a refreshing family bathroom complete with a shower over the bath and a WC. Stairs lead up and into the cosy and inviting lounge on the first floor. Offering a vaulted ceiling, wooden beams, and a range of quirky features and soft furnishings, this is a wonderful area where you can gather and relax at the end of a fabulous day. Also featuring a wood burner effect electric fire and TV, the lounge is perfect for relaxing in the evenings with a favourite movie. The first floor also features the second bedroom: a restful double room with plenty of storage space, alongside an invigorating shower room.
