To the front, is a quite lane leading down to the shores of Bassenthwaite Lake, and for the more adventurous, Skiddaw is a favourite of many walkers looking for the higher summit views. The nearby market town of Keswick is popular with visitors looking for cafés, bars and eateries, and speciality shops of every kind can be found too. Stay dry on rainy days as you catch a play at The Theatre By The Lake, or the latest film at the Alhambra Cinema. Shop 4 miles, pub and restaurant 3 miles.
