"This property and guest house was the perfect retreat for our trip while exploring the Hilo side of the island. Everything exceeded our expectations. The house was immaculate and spacious. Jeff and Jennifer were very kind and accommodating hosts. They made sure the guest house was fully stocked with kitchen supplies, sunscreen, beach chairs and coolers, and laundry detergent. We wish we could've stayed longer!"

"Needed a respite from the insanity of life and the world and found it at Hale Hapu'u. The images are nothing compared to the reality of the house and the surrounding garden. "My husband, five year old and I stayed here for 3 days. We really enjoyed our stay! It was a beautiful open floor plan, artistic decor with big slider windows leading out to the patio. At night there was a wonderful cross breeze and sounds of geckos and coqui frogs floating on that breeze. It was in a convenient spot, not directly in town but close enough to go out for food, drinks, beaches, etc. The owners were kind and quiet. Their dog was such a sweetheart, our daughter loved the encounters...

"We did two nights just across the street from the amazing Kehena black sand beach. Cottage is comfortable for two, and we appreciated the AC in the bedroom. Will definitely be coming back again and again. Other folks mentioned the naturist aspect of the beach, and although true, that didn’t bother us in the least. Truly one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever seen. The climb down is a bit daunting the first time, but no big deal once we got the hang of it."

"This was the most gorgeous cabin! Lots of natural light with many, many windows and skylights. The cabin was filled with everything you could possibly need including sunscreen, toiletries, condiments, ice, and lots of extras! Also the hostess is the nicest lady! Highly recommend!"
