  • ​​​​​​​This 4 bedroom with separate ohana used as 4th bedroom, 3 bath home have unobstructed views of the ocean!! Very close to beaches and shops. Home can sleep (8 guests!)
    Come to The Big Island of Hawaii and enjoy your well-deserved vacation in our beautiful Mai Tai plantation home with unobstructed views of the ocean. You will find Magic Sands Beach just a minute away. Kahalu'u Beach a famous snorkeling beach is also just minutes away. We provide snorkel gear and beach items for you to enjoy. The home is two levels, Upstairs is furnished with 3 bedrooms. You will find a separate ohana downstairs furnished with a king bed and 1 Murphy bed with a bathroom, washer, and dryer. Sleeping 8 guests! The house has an open-air design that allows the ocean breeze to cool down the house. There are a lot of fans for the hot days, but no A/C. For guests sleeping upstairs, you are required to walk upstairs to reach the 3 bedroom 1 bath, kitchen, and living room. The home is furnished and decorated as pictured, with some pillows, blanket throws, and flowers added for photos. No pool

    Disclosure: Security cameras are placed throughout the outside of the house as the home is near a high-traffic area and is set up purposely for security purposes.

    The Big Island is not to be missed, so to help make your Hawaiian dreams a reality, we have assembled all the things you may need to know about staying here in Hawaii! Curious about places to visit or things to do? "Ask us about our recommendations list!". The Big Island of Hawaii seems determined to break the norm; the stereotype of the average tropical island, that is. Here you'll find the ongoing battle between green forests, black lava fields, the ocean, the rain, and sunny days almost incomprehensible; the diversity is simply stunning. With that being said from time to time insects can be present outdoors and sometimes make their way indoors due to our tropical climate here in Hawaii. We share this information with you folks because we understand insects can be something to be fearful about or can be somewhat of a nuisance to some individuals. We would like to rest assured that we do schedule pest control services in our very tight schedule & do the maximum recommended to not harm people in the house/Condo which is once a month), but it's one of the few cons of tropical weather. Please know we go above and beyond for all of our guests and make sure to provide standard maintenance for extra comfort and an enjoyable time when staying with us here in Hawaii.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Great location to restaurants, activities and shopping. Spectacular views!Well stocked with supplies. Ice maker not working well was only issue. The road traffic was loud but the view made up for it! Highly recommend this vacation home!

Great location and property

Property comfortably sleeps 8 people with four separate rooms. Unobstructed view from Lanai looking out at the ocean which was great for meals and just hanging out. Property had towels, beach chairs and some toys. It is just a very short walk to Magic Sands beach. Great place. We would stay there again.

Property was exactly as described. No surprises. Only a couple of hundred feet from a very popular beach. Views from the Lanai were wonderful. The kitchen was well equipped with utensils and basics spices/seasonings. New appliances functioned perfectly and the mattresses were very comfortable. Property has filtered water and an awesome ice machine so no need for bottled water. There’s a TV but it’s hard when the lanai is that great.Communication was simple and timely and the management was responsive. Check-in/checkout was seamless. Rent with confidence and enjoy your stay in paradise.

Great location and a wonderful view. We appreciated the full kitchen and the beach supplies. We had an excellent response from the property manager when some needs arose. There are some property updates/repairs that need done (siding is deteriorating and some general wear and tear that could use some updating).

Great location- fully stocked beautiful house

Amazing view- we loved walking across the street to the little beach each morning. The house was fully stocked with everything you could need. Beach towels, beach chairs, boogie boards, coolers….beds were very comfortable, everything was so well thought out. We had a great stay and I would highly recommend.

Beautiful getaway!

The house was wonderful and the view could not be beat! It was well stocked with kitchen and medicine cabinet staples and beach supplies. We reached out a couple times, and the responses were always prompt and friendly. There was expected traffic noise, but that quieted down early enough. We loved being walking distance to the beach. We’d absolutely stay here again!

Wouldn't hesitate to rent again!

The upstairs living area of the home was fantastic. Very clean and one of the best stocked kitchens in any house we have stayed in. By far the best feature is the front ocean facing lanai. Unobstructed ocean view facing due west at sunset. The ohana could use some updating but most of our time was spent upstairs. Lots of outdoor gear was available including snorkel gear, nice not to have to hassle with renting. As other reviews mention Ali'i drive can be a bit noisy but price a rental on the other side of Ali'i and a bit of vehicle noise is easy to overlook.

You cannot beat the view from this house! It’s within walking distance to Magic Beach (which gets busy quick so get there early). They have a ton of beach items to use, and the house was well stocked. The owner was very quick to respond. The only downside is the no AC. Even with the doors open and fans going it could get stuffy.

Great place!

Property is as advertised. We had a wonderful stay here! Beautiful ocean view. Busy street, but you really don’t notice it. Kitchen was well stocked. Grocery store 5 minute drive, so super convenient. House had lots of fans for cooling. Property managers were quick to respond when a question came up. Downstairs murphy bed linen needed better care.

Great place

The place was great and exactly as pictured. That deck with the ocean view was such a treat. Great wifi, tv options, beach supplies, everything we could want. Walking distance to magic sands beach and the grill nextdoor. It was definitely warm given no AC, but bearable with fans. If you have warm sleepers it may not be the best fit.

Perfect Great Island Getaway

Property was exactly as described. Perfect ammenities for our large family and friend group of 9. We were able to relax altogether on the large lanai with beachfront view! Decor was fun and inviting and added to the fun of exploring the house. We were so busy having fun we never even turned on the big screen TV except to project our wonderful photos from our day exploring the bi island!.

Fantastic view near white sand beach

We loved the location of this property. It had all the amenities we needed since we do a lot of our own cooking. While we were there we had an issue with bugs, mosquitos in particular. We know this was something out of the control for the management company. I just wished there were screen doors on the lanai so we could still get a good air flow and to keep the bugs outside. My adult son stayed downstairs and had to battle even more bugs, so we moved him upstairs. We didn't let it damper our time in Kona and enjoyed our stay.

Although it seems like it would cool down at night, the reality is that the rooms don't all get good ocean breezes and the big doors don't have screens so leaving the doors open at night was not a great option. The kitchen offered all essential items and MORE which made cooking meals a breeze. Just be mindful that whatever you use, to be sure to replace for the next guest(s) to experience the same level of convenience that was offered to you. Tons of beach items are also provided, including a beach wagon, floaties, snorkel gear, etc. My family and I loved the upper lanai, which offered spectacular views of the ocean and sunset while we ate meals or just hung out. Conveniently located on Ali’i drive, the location was everything! Front facing rooms may hear a bit more of the noise from traffic, but nothing that the sounds of crashing waves couldn’t drown out.Lastly, Marisa is an amazing host with responsive and clear communication. Amazing Location & Responsive Property Manager

The view from the deck was spectacular - especially the sunsets. The location was perfect for our activities- close to swimming at Magic Sands Beach, snorkeling at Kahalu'u State Park and hiking & snorkeling at Captain Cook Monument (where we saw spinner dolphins in addition to the fish and moray eels as we snorkeled.) The owners provided masks and snorkels in good condition and provided some water shoes to protect against the rocky bottom. They also provided beach towels and had a washer and dryer. We signed up for the night time Manta Ray swim with Dolphin Discoveries which is conveniently located in a shopping center with restaurants and a grocery that is only two miles from the house. The night Manta ray snorkel and snorkeling at Captain Cook Monument are two "must do's". The property manager provided five star service! Our group included my husband & me, four adult kids and two fiancee's. The house had three bedrooms & two bathrms upstairs & a King bed & a Murphy bed & Bathrm downstairs. We could not figure out how to set up the Murphy bed, so we called and they sent some one over to help us. We could not find an electric griddle for pancakes so we asked if we could borrow one from another property. They did not have one so they bought a brand new electric griddle and brought it over to us when they helped us set up the Murphy bed. This is a beautiful home in an amazing location with responsive and attentive property managers. Book it.
