We would definitely stay here again! We loved it!! The host and property managers were wonderful to work with. They were so understanding and responded right away to any questions or concerns. They gave clear instructions and information for how to check-in and what to do when checking out. The home was amazing!! It was so clean and beautiful, comfortable and well stocked with all the necessary needs. The rooms were all spotless and well furnished. The yard and property were gorgeous and well maintained. We loved having an ocean view, the sunsets were incredible!! It was such a relaxing and peaceful stay, so much better than going to a hotel or resort.

This was the best vrbo experience for me and my family. It felt like home. Thank you so much for the hospitality. We had everything we needed for the week. The location was amazing, Kona and the surrounding beaches were beautiful. We spent every evening eating dinner on the lanai. I wish we could come back every summer!!

Great home on a beautiful island

This home was great for our needs. Well equipped and conveniently located. Management was attentive as well. Kona is such a fantastic island with so much to offer. We wish we could have stayed longer but hopefully we will be back soon. We will look to stay here again on our next visit.

Great House with beautiful view and wonderful vacation

Our stay was amazing. The central air did quit working during our stay, we notified the property manager and they responsed immdeiately and had it fixed right away. We loved the quiet gated community and the house was fully stocked, it was a perfect place for a 3 generation family trip.

Perfect stay, like coming home!

We had a wonderful 10-day stay; this property is so well-appointed, you'll want for nothing! From beach gear down to laundry detergent, beds were made, it was spotless - they even provided beach bags, hats and robes to use during our stay! We lived in Kona for a few years and coming to this house was like coming home. Even the neighbors were lovely.

Good for family

Location was convenient to Kailua without the congestion and noise of the town. Very central to beaches, shops, and dinning. The house is very nicely equiped for any cooking situation. Water toys are available for use. The outdoor shower was handy for rinsing dive gear and just getting the sand off.

Nice house in Kona

The house is well laid out and very comfortable. The appliances are all high quality. The weather control was very good, quiet and effective. The outdoor eating space had a nice view, including the ocean. The location was convenient for visiting the west side beaches and restaurants in the town. Altogether I recommend this house highly.

Can’t wait to stay here again

This was the most organized and well maintained property we have stayed at! The property manager was super responsive. For example, we told her we were missing beach umbrellas, she promptly came and brought us new ones. The AC was perfect and was much needed as well! The dvds were great for the kids and adults alike.

Great quiet place.

Property managers were really nice to work with. The area is neighborhoody-only houses. but its nice. view is really nice, clean and safe. there is some area to walk around, but you have to leave the gated community to get a real walk in. close enough to stores that you can get whatever you need. the washer and dryer are good and fairly large capacity

Amazing Property

We loved the location of this property. It was so convenient to shopping and downtown, but was in a quiet neighborhood with lots of street parking. The amenities were more than we could ask for. The owners had thought of everything and were generous in sharing. The kitchen had so many nice appliances, dishes, spices, cooking utensils, vases, etc. and I think we used them all! There were sun hats, which came in very handy, beach toys and chairs, towels, etc. We had a wonderful time and much of it was thanks to this property! I would definitely recommend as a premium place to stay.

This home was wonderful and true to the description. The communication couldn’t have been better and responses were very quick. We had an issue with the AC and it was resolved that day. We loved how spacious the home was allowing us to relax in the evening and watch movies together or talk about the day. The home is very well equipped. Not that we cooked, but I feel like we would have what we needed if we wanted to. We never made it to the hot tub as we were gone most of the day, but wish we had. The outdoor area was very nice and the outdoor shower helpful to rinse the sand off from the beach. The community was very peaceful. It wasn’t walking distance to key areas, but we weren’t looking for that. We would rent this home again for sure.

Paradise found!

This is our 3rd visit to Hale Alaula house. We stayed for 2 weeks. The listing description is 100% accurate in terms of space, layout and amenities provided. The location of this house is the best on the big island. Less than 5 minutes down the hill you will find Starbucks, Walmart and a Safeway supermarket. It is an 8-10 minute drive to Ali'i Drive in Kona where you will find shops, beaches and fabulous restaurants. The house is beautifully decorated, clean, cozy and makes you feel like you're home. The gourmet kitchen is fully equipped with appliances, pots and pans, coffee maker, dishwasher, plus a washer & dryer. Enjoy a great BBQ on the lanai which has an unobstructed view of the Pacific ocean. Sunsets are stunning! Relax in the backyard after a day of swimming or sightseeing in the hot tub and the outdoor shower you will absolutely love! The owners have gone out of their way to provide boogie boards and snorkel equipment for your use and enjoyment. Flat screen TV's throughout the house, strong WiFi signal and a large library of DVD's. In all of our travels over the years, we have never experienced a more relaxing comfortable home and we plan on returning every year! It"s as if you were in your own home in paradise. Rita G.

Absolutely perfect!

Having stayed at other rental properties, they often feel like- well, rental properties. Hale Alaula is miles beyond anything we could've asked for! This felt more like staying at a family member's home. What we loved: The beds were very comfortable! Beach gear was available to us in the garage. The property was BEAUTIFUL! The plants were enough to keep us in awe for hours. The property management was incredibly accommodating and patient with my (many) questions. The community is peaceful and gated. The views were amazing from the lanai. The proximity to everything you'd want to do in the area is perfect! Communication was swift and clear, and everything we could hope for. The decor felt like home. So much so, that my little ones decided to "camp out" on the couch the entire stay. The hot tub was perfect after a day of hiking waterfalls! The outdoor shower was clutch after days at the beach. The drawers in the kitchen were stocked with little things we might need, like tape or scissors. Movies to watch and streaming services in downtime on the TVs. What we didn't like: Leaving was a bummer. I have honestly never stayed at a better property at any location. Genuine love and attention goes into this place and it shows. You feel the Aloha Spirit at Hale Alaula!! We will book all future trips to Hawaii around the availability of this property. Mahalo!

My family (3 kids 6, 10, 13) all had a great time. Nice place, good location. I was an idiot and misread the gate code instructions, and the property manager kindly facetimed me to show me how to open it. (My mistake, not theirs).
