Ocean View Condo with Large Lanai

Enjoy your Hawaiian vacation in one of Kona's most popular complexes. Casa is very well maintained with beautiful gardens and an awesome ocean-front salt water pool. We are steps from the ocean and have a wonderful sunset view from the lanai. Unit 201 is easily accessible with parking close by. The unit is open, clean, and comfortable. There's tile floors through out and new appliances and furnishings. A full size washer and dryer are in the unit, saving you time and money doing laundry on your vacation. The private, extra large lanai offers a dining area as well as sun bathing.
We sleep 3 adults or up to 4, including children.

I would describe this condo as a "stay at a friends place," meaning it was fine. The kitchen was well stocked and amenities included a cooler, beach chairs, etc. The positives were the condo complexes' courtyard, two pools, outdoor seating area, and oceanside sunset view. The condo itself doesn't have an ocean view but a courtyard view. The lanai, while large, is next to the shared lobby. Several people hung out there and talked on their speaker phones or chatted with others (a little bothersome). It was a pleasant place for two people. I think four would be a little cramped.

This place is great! The condo has everything I have at home, nothing is missing. A large lanai with a beautiful view is perfect for morning coffee and evening beer. The saltwater pool is absolutely amazing! Great host, very responsive. We only stayed four nights, but I want to come back for a couple of weeks.

We had a fantastic stay. The apartment was perfect for us and had everything we needed. We watched the sunset at the beach every night with other guests and residents. We really appreciated the rolling cooler. We used it everyday to pack our beverages and sandwiches. We will definitely stay here again.

It's the perfect size for 2-3 people.The room is very clean, and the kitchen is well-equipped, so cooking is no problem at all.There's a pool that feels like it connects to the ocean, and you can see the sea from the room's balcony.The owner responded quickly and was very kind.There's a deli right next door, which is super convenient.This is a place I'd definitely stay again on my next trip to Hawaii Island.

Good sized apartment with water view from spacious deck. Air conditioning worked well. Everything you need in the kitchen and laundry. Bed was super comfy. Secure parking.Only negative was a slight musty smell but this may have come from the washing machine that was left with lid open.Only 3kms from the pier.

Der Check-in war problemlos. Wir sind aber zuerst an der Anlage vorbei gefahren, weil sie hinter einem Liquor Store liegt und man auf der Straße recht schnell fährt.Die Ausstattung ließ keine Wünsche offen. Es gab genügend Handtücher und Hygieneartikel.Auch die Küche war gut ausgestattet. Wir haben nicht gekocht und können hierzu nichts sagen.Das Condo mit Möblierung ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Daher haben wir die Klimaanlage ausgeschaltet gelassen, weil sie etwas muffig roch. Auch die Teppiche waren etwas muffig. Nach gutem Lüften ging es weg und die zahlreichen Deckenventilatoren haben gute Dienste geleistet.Der wirklich ärgerliche Punkt war, dass wir, bei 4 Tagen Anwesenheit, erst am Abreisemorgen wieder warmes Wasser hatten.Zudem haben wir erst in der ausliegenden Infomappe davon erfahren, dass es üblich ist, dass schonmal das warme Wasser ausfällt. Das Duschen war somit umständlich. Hier wäre eine Information auf der Buchungsseite hilfreich, damit sich jeder überlegen kann, ob er diese Unstände mitbuchen möchte.

Great location, price, and owners

I can't say enough about how great this place is. The unit was spacious for the three of us. The central air conditioning worked really well. The beds were very comfortable. The view from the lanai was beautiful. Then the owners were extremely accommodating.

Great condo for your stay on the Big Island

Condo was perfect and comfortable for what we needed on our stay on the Big Island. It's obviously an older condo, but the complex itself is very well kept and has an amazing pool and beach area. The ocean front view with all the lava rock is absolutely gorgeous. It's the perfect little condo for a couple who plans to go out to do adventures activities on the island, then come back to relax on the large lanai with a beautiful view.

It’s a condo

The living space was beautiful and the grounds are very nice. The building itself could definitely use some maintenance as there was caution tape along the eves of the building and painted over cracks in the exterior walls. I figured with staying in a condo there would be rules that needed to be followed, but there are lots of rules here….and not just the condominium but the host had rules also. Nothing major, but I do feel like if you want certain detergent used on your linens you should provide the laundry detergent you want used. I have not stayed at many vrbo‘s but ample supply of basic needs like toilet paper and laundry soap has always been provided. So if you stay here make sure your stay is short or you are prepared to purchase house necessities for your stay.

A bit grubby

Complex was lovely, we really enjoyed it. The unit needs a very thorough cleaning. Dust and dirt behind beds, tables and blinds. Shower walls were slimy and door seals were dirty. Stove was not well cared for and takes forever to heat up.

Home away from home

Comfortable, spacious, nicely decorated condo. Beautiful property, especially love the saltwater pool. Only issue was after the first day when the AC got nice and cold, the rest of the week it didn't get very cold at all. We didn't think it was enough of an issue to contact the manager

Location and amenities were great.

Stayed for 1 month and this was a great place to stay. Close to beach, downtown and grocery stores. Trolly stop in front of complex. Saltwater pool was closed several times because of high surf, not really the fault of the property. Being right on the shore has its drawbacks. Overall enjoyed the stay.

Lovely Condo Complex

We have stayed at Emdeko units in the past and really enjoy this location. Close to Kona but away from the hustle bustle. The pools are especially nice, a key feature we look for, just double check they are not closed for maintenance. We hope to come again in the future.
