The Keauhou Surf and Racquet Club is a gated community of condominiums. There are three professional style tennis courts with night lighting. The large remodeled swimming pool is ideal for “laps” and also for small children and other water activities. Showers and restrooms are conveniently located in the large pavilion near the swimming pool and tennis courts.
One of the most interesting features of the Keauhou Surf and Racquet Club are the numerous archaeological sites. These preserved areas provide a glimpse of Hawaiian life years ago. Each site has a posted description of the activities that took place years and years ago.
The Keauhou Surf and Racquet Club has many gardens and walking trails. ONE GOES DIRECTLY TO A BEACH!! Flowers and tropical foliage are abundant. There are several outdoor barbecue areas for guests to go to.

The host was very communicative. Renters should be aware of two things -- the lanai gets boarded up during high suff (happened twice on our stay) and this unit can be rented for 400 less via the property manager's own website. Based on those two things I would stay on a higher floor to protect my view as there is no major advantage to walking from the lanai and I would book elsewhere.

The place was great for a family of four to spend a week on the big island. This was our 3rd trip to Kona and this place was by far the best place we've stayed. There was plenty of kitchen stuff to make meals including spices, cooking oil, pots, pans, etc. Plenty of beach gear was provided including snorkel masks and boogie boards, and towels. My only gripe is that they provided camp chairs instead of beach chairs. The place was clean and well kept, as was the entire condo community. The complex was quiet at night (except for the sound of waves). Highly recommend!

Mid Upscale Resort, ocean front

Impressive, from entering the property to arriving at our unit. We were oceanfront, but far enough back to the sound of the waves or somewhat muted; which was one of our concerns when we rented the property. The unit itself was impressive, well equipped, and comfortable. We had an issue with the TVs, but I’m sure the issue was us being senior citizens. Contacted the management company, they promptly sent over a very delightful and helpful employee to get us back on track. Only a couple of things could’ve been improved upon, one being it was advertised as an end unit and it was in the middle, another one was there was supposed to be some consumables to get started, which I assume meant two or three days, maybe a little longer, probably a tablespoon of coffee, no pepper and a box of teabags only had one teabag and one usable. Other than those issues, we would stay there and recommend it to our friends

Amazing Stay

We really had a great time. Beautiful views, sunset right from the lanai. It was stormy so it was cool to watch the waves crash on the rocks all down the coast. Some cute geckos and beautiful birds. Tucked in the back corner away from everyone. Pool was excellent and heated so not freezing cold. Beds were comfy including pillows. Communication was excellent. Shopping center up the road also has several restaurants, a grocery store, and a Longs Drugs. We would stay here again.

Listen to the ocean

We have stayed many times at the Surf and Racquet Club but never before in this unit. This condo is spotless, fully equipped, and just steps from the water. We'll be happy to stay here again.

Wonderful Unit

Loved this condo! The beds were comfy, the kitchen was well stocked. The view was unreal. The kids LOVED the pool, the property is beautiful and clean! This is my second time staying at this complex and I’ve loved it both times. I’m Accessibility - the unit is far from the parking spot, so if you have difficulty walking, this might not be the unit for you. All of Bldg 5 is far from parking. The showers were walk in with a small step.

Amazing Condo Great Property

This stay was fantastic. It was my first time, as well as two of the other 4 woman that joined me. The patio was the highlight. Being able to go out on patio in the AM, meditate and have my coffee. Was so peaceful. It was close to everything. The AC is definitely worth the extra money. Works very well. Beds were comfortable and had lits of linens. Will coen again

Everything was great except for some things. There were these tiny ants mostly in the kitchen, we just ziplocked our food. and the tv in bedroom didn’t work, we weren’t there to watch tv anyway.

Great location!! Beautiful grounds

The condo had everything you could ask for. Beach towels, chairs, mats snorkel stuff. The beds are comfortable. The kitchen well stocked With dishes and appliances.. the patio/lanai was our favorite. The view is spectacular. Drank our coffee there every morning. Condo is close To a Grocery store and many restaurants. I would recommend this condo!!

Great break in Kona

Wonderful property on the ocean with everything we needed while visiting. We enjoyed this property while in Kona. Appreciated everything for the beach, slept comfortably and made memories that will last us a lifetime! Property management company was available to us but honestly everything was spot on!

Great Location

The property was just as described in the listing. The host was very helpful and responsive. Beautiful view right on the ocean and the other side faces the golf course. Very spacious kitchen and living room area. Only about 3 minutes away from grocery store, made it very convenient. Only 5 minutes or less to great snorkeling Beach and magic sands Beach. Would definitely stay again!

Beautiful getaway
