The house was in a tranquil setting and you could walk right down to the water of the beautiful calm bay. The bed was comfortable and everything was clean. The kitchen was well equipped. A truly enjoyable stay.

Excellent holiday house

We had a great time at this property. It is in an excellent location, being just five minutes walk from a cafe, a short drive from shops, and backs onto the water. Beware of the angry kangaroo that hangs around in the area. If it makes growling noises, do not approach it.

Disappointed

Couch in living room is terrible. The springs in the seat cushions stuck into our bottoms so I moved them only to find the couch had crumbs under them. Mirror in middle bedroom has not been cleaned. Chair in front hall dirty. Cobwebs everywhere. Also someone came into house after we arrived

A wonderful week

Perfect location. Comfortable house. Property was lovely and clean. We had a fantastic week- kids kayaking on the lake, swimming and fishing from the backyard. We will definitely be back. Thanks Wolfgang

The owner tried to be accommodating, but I feel I have to let others know a few things before booking, especially for those who care about cleanliness. On entry, we were greeted by cockroaches crawling across the kitchen floor. The refrigerator was turned off, so our groceries sat warm on the counter for hours until we could get it to cool down. The tub was great, but we had to thoroughly clean it before use because there was dog hair all over the inside, as though the last guest's dog had a bath and the cleaner didn't bother to clean afterwards. We also were informed after coming home that we would be charged an extra $50 for vacuuming, which I assumed would be something the cleaner would regularly do between guests stays, but apparently not. I questioned this with the owner 3 days ago, and have not had a response, but the charge has come through. The beds are very uncomfortable and you aren't told this until full payment goes through, but you are required to bring your own towels and linens. I would not have touched the pillows provided, so bring those too. The oven and stovetop do not operate, but there is a BBQ. He doesn't provide proper BBQ utensils, so you have to do your best with that or bring your own.

Very Relaxed Holiday

Very comfortable large house with a nice new bathroom. Can't get a better spot right on the lake for Swimming and Fishing. Great view from the outdoor balcony. Had a great time again.

Great location

Great location but internal furnishings need some work. Stains on carpets and chairs, mattresses/beds saggy and old, lounge has seen better days, door to deck is difficult to open. Pillows thin and unsupportive, lack of linen service also

Great winter break

As the date for our stay got closer we accepted that it was going to be rainy and freezing cold on the south coast for our entire 3 days. As I was taking my 80+ y.o parents I was bit worried but pleasantly surprised how warm and cosy it was for them. The gas heater doesn't take long to heat up the living area and the bedroom heater was just as good. The bedrooms were really nice and comfortable and the bathroom and toilet were brand new. We made the most of the viewing deck during the rain breaks but could admire the view from the warmth of the living room when it was pouring. For a sleepy little town the mid-week take away food scene was amazing with terrific pizza and burger options next to the pub. Had a very enjoyable winter getaway.

The yard outdoor patio/furniture hasn’t been looked after. The place is so dated. The home was not clean. Sack your cleaners Wolfgang. The key wasn’t where it was supposed to be. The pillows were yellow. Buy some new ones Wolfgang. We left a day earlier because we couldn’t stay there anymore. Would not recommend to anyone.

We had a lovely stay. The house is lovely, the bathroom is newly renovated which is lovely however the bath tub plug didn’t work and the bathroom floor constantly held water which became slippery and slimy. The grass out the back was abit to long but over all it was a lovely stay. Wolfgang is one of the best hosts iv had the pleasuring in dealing with! Thankyou

Perfect location with basin views . Magnificent sunrise

We were a family of 4 adults and a toddler celebrating my husbands birthday. We have a boat with which we wanted to launch for a day of family fishing. The scenic view jetty was 10 mins away. The driveway had plenty of space to park the boat and our two cars. The house was comfortable and clean, ideal for a two nigh5 stay. The deck provided space for our granddaughter to scoot around on her scooter. Wolfgang communicated clearly and in a way that helped us feel welcome. Magnificent sunrise!
